This "Acceleration Zone" Restart rule needs scrapping pronto. Yellows bred yellows and people got caught doing wrong in a very convaluted procedure that not everyone got right, and it appeared some teams exploited in getting other people caught.

So great news
The V8 Supercars are contemplating a two class field for Bathurst 1000 this year.
They're thinking of adding the Dunlop series as 'Class B' to give the grid more cars after the realization that the grid may only be 25 cars this year, the lowest in the sports history
The Pirtek Poll is asking we fans would like that, and so far, it's a resounding yes by 84% of voters

Re: 2014 V8 Supercars Championship (and other Australian Racing)
I reckon it should be the Aussie GT3s, not the Konica cars, just so they can compare who is quicker over the top of the mountain, because the GT3s were no doubt quicker in february, but I doubt they'll get the drivers they were able to get for the 12 hours, then again, the first time I saw a bathurst 1000 live, Andy "Anthony" Priaulx was the victim of a first turn collision with a konica car...

Re: 2014 V8 Supercars Championship (and other Australian Racing)
that video reminded me of something
I've been watching Bathurst for the last 15 years and here is a list I made last year, my top 5 Bathurst Moments, this was a hard list to fill for #4 and 5.
#5: Craig Lowndes Tyre crash
EVERYONE knows this one from 2003, one of the first incidence I remember
#4 Fabian Coulthard roll at the Chase
this is the crash that was famous in 2010, the one you love to see, but would hate to be in
#3 The 1992 ATCC Bathurst 1000 podium
possibly the single funniest bathurst moment ever. I was not alive to see this, but have seen it many times because of how great it is! The single most controversial year and Bathurst 1000 in particular because Nissan won the race after it was red flagged due to undrivable conditions (typical NSW rain) and the crowd was less than pleased, and the reaction was priceless!!
#2 Marcus Ambrose and Greg Murphy
now, if you've heard me complain about this, it would be number 1, because this is one of my least favourite moments in Bathurst history, because I was a HUGE Ambrose fan growing up, and I was tipping him to win, and when that happened, it made me furious
but number 1 is much MUCH more memorable than that
#1 Lowndes wins in 2006
this is my number 1 moment for many reasons and it couldn't have finished any other way. one reason it is my favourite because it was the first time Ford had won the great race in a decade. But there was more to it. Although I may be a Ford boy through and through, two men are the exception, one of them is Craig Lowndes, the other, the Great Peter Brock, so when Lowndes won the race, just 1 month after losing his friend, Mentor and the greatest driver of all time, Peter Brock, and was in tears afterwards, makes it my #1 because there is absolutely nothing better than that, it makes me tear up to this day,
