Kronos Racing will split from Marc VDS for the first time at TORA, and partner with Peugeot UK, for the MSA TORA Spec Cup, utilising Kronos Racing's favourite car - The Peugeot 207 S2000.

Kronos Racing had huge success with the Citroen Xsara in the WRC from 2004 to 2007, with drivers such as Seb Loeb at the wheel, and the late great Colin McRae taking his last few races of his career in 2006.


Since 2007, Kronos Racing has moved on to greater things. The brand new 207 S2000 was the tool of choice for the new Intercontinental Rally Challenge, taking the championship title in 2008 with the team Peugeot Sport España, and 2008 with Peugeot Team Bel-Lux.

In 2009, Kris Meeke, seasoned JWRC pro, joined Kronos Racing and Peugeot UK for his first season of the IRC. Meeke took first place in 2009 and 3rd in 2010, which further launched his career into the WRC world with Mini.


2011 was the final year for Kronos Racing in IRC with the 207. Guy Wilks drove the Peugeot UK car to 7th place that season. In the mean time, Kronos was partnering with Marc VDS for the Le Mans 24 Hours in the Lola Aston Martin with Orbello Racing, of Team Signature fame.

Last year, the 2011 Lola Aston was dusted off and raced in the 2013 TORA Le Mans 24hrs. Now, the 2011 207 S2000 is being repurposed for track use in the TORA Spec Cup Series 3.


Hayden Thompson, TORA Champion of Champions 2013, and TORA Marc VDS / Kronos Racing founder Stan Stulpa, will be driving the 207 for the first Spec Cup of 2014 on FM4.

There are high hopes for the team; Thompson was Spec Cup S1 C2 champion last year in the BMW, Radical Cup team champion, first in class of various TEC 2013 races, and of course winner of the TORA RoC 2013. Stulpa, on the other hand, has dirt in blood, taking the TORA Rally Raid title last year.

Fingers are crossed at camp Kronos that Thompson can add another trophy to his and our cabinets. The team are at Sonoma tonight for the first round.
