British GT 2014

So if you hadn't guessed from the tweeting and comments around about TORA were at the British GT Media Day at Donington Park today for what turned out to be a day full of surprises.

The day was essentially split into three parts. The morning session was for the British Formula 3. While we toured the circuit several red flags brought the sessions to a halt which no doubt frustrated teams who will have lost valuable track time.

In between sessions, the circuit rang to the sound of 'proper' sounding F1 cars. The Lotus and Toleman from the great 80's took to the track in relative anger in the hands of Martin Brundle, Damon Hill and Bruno Senna. British GT took to the track in true form with impressive cars, big name stars and a real intent to show the world that this is the series to watch in the UK in 2014.

Can't wait for this series to get going. I really hope I can get to one of the races this year. Should be interesting to see how Chris Hoy gets on in the Nissan.

any idea when the competition winner will be announced?

Friday I believe. Circuit action is Sunday and Monday.

Fair to say i'm annoyed that the winner has been told yet theres been no announcement anywhere. Found his tweet by accident. If you say you'll pick a winner on a certain day then do and make it public.

I have to recommend announcing the winner earlier than Friday. I was very lucky to make it to Oulton Park on Saturday because I didn't check Twitter until about 10pm on Friday night. If I had known earlier I would have been able to stay somewhere near Oulton rather than having to get up at about 5am both mornings.

Good points chaps. Next time we'll do it earlier, and make sure you all know who's won

Bear in mind that we do mention that you must be able to get to the race in order to enter the comp. So if there's any uncertainty that you can't make it, don't enter the comp!

The next round is on June 1st, hopefully we'll have another comp for then.
