Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
Please tell me you mean 24.1 or else I'm in big big trouble here. I think the leaderboard time for A class is a 19.8

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
I've run 24.3 and probably average in the late 24s in the Aston as well.

In case anyone else is discouraged by the times here, I'm running 26 low in the Viper

Yeah, just got the car going today. I am in the mid 25's and chasing some much faster people's ghosts. Looking forward to this. Viper BTW.

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
Nissan is probably the biggest pile of crap I have ever driven around Road Atlanta, It just don't work Out of 6 laps I get one GOOD lap not even clean maybe just without spinning out or completely missing a corner.
Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
If you're spinning out a bunch, maybe you should soften up your springs/dampers? It seems Road Atlanta is a track on which you need to be able to handle lots of rumble strip to put down a fast time

I just don't understand how it can go from really nice to drive at Catalunya to absolute dog [Censored] at Road Atlanta.Jonny Dub 12 wrote:If you're spinning out a bunch, maybe you should soften up your springs/dampers? Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
I'm so far off of the pace in the Lambo compared to some of the times being posted. My best was a 1:28.
In the Viper I was getting 1:26's. Why the hell I chose the Lambo over my favourite car I don't know.

Is it the first quarter of the track that's killing you? It requires a certain amount of rhythm, and if you're launching off rumble strips it's not going to help you. Road Atlanta might not be the GTR's track, since (in my limited experience with the car) it's not so eager to change direction.

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
I have a stupid question for someone who doesn't mind. I just joined TORA and before I go getting into some actual races, I wanted to tune a car and see if I can be competitive with the times I see posted. My question is about the build. As long as you add the roll cage, tires, brakes, and aero, everything else is fair game? (other than RWD obviously) You can do whatever as long as you stay at (or below?) 695 for the Viper? Sorry, I know there is probably a better place to ask, but figured everyone in this section already racing Vipers and meeting this build would be best. (Any recommendations for the best things to do for this particular build for the viper would be greatly appreciated also. Although I think I will finally have to spend time learning to tune it now)

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
With the Viper you have to keep the horse power at 650 or below as well. With the upgrades I've seen that lowering the car and making lighter works best.

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
Yeah, I just saw the weight and HP requirements. Thanks! I want to start practicing, but want to make sure I'm doing it in a legal car. Appreciate the help!

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
The Viper is hard because there is very little you can do to the build. It is either one way, or the other. Most of the other cars you can have all the upgrades on and just fiddle with power/weight/tire width, but the viper is not like that. Once you find the build you like, just start messing with the tune. I am terrible at tuning, and just try and make the car drivable for me.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a Mopar fan so I'm "stuck" using the Viper. (See avatar! lol)

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
2:08.812, now with new improved camber settings so the car doesn't try and kill me as much
Edit: Not relevant due to engine swap

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
I've run 2:09.6 and have the capacity to run low 2:09s to maybe a high 2:08 if I could put a complete lap together.

Re: TORA GT Lap Times.
My tune is shared for the Vanquish if anyone wants it. Tora sebr is the name or use my GT to find it. It's a bit oversteery and forgiving... prolly a better race setup than qually.

Got a 2:30 around Spa, and should be able to go faster with a bit more tuning.
