How does one win a demo derby?

Edit: Reason I'm asking is because I don't have the game yet, and I've never seen one.

You're either the last to die, or live long enough to cross the line 1st

I dont own the game, but i expect to see lots of carnage highlights that make me buy it lol

How are you going to do the grid order? I thought there wasn't a way to do it online? Is there now?

I don't have the game but he said there is a parade lap, so just call out the order and line up I'd guess.

i used to race short circuit oval racing and banger/demolition derby has been part of my life since i was 2 years old!!

i ain't missing this one!!!

I know DD way too much.
I used to do it so much as it was all that you did in multiplayer. I can only guess this is going to the only contact sport in TORA and that some people (From what I learnt from all my online experience in Codemasters games) Are that if they have a bad connection then it isn't accurate as from experience, a car might be unmovable because they could be lagging behind...

This I can tell is going to be great fun, I just hope connection doesn't come into play.

Yeah I used to play DD all the time on RD:GRID multiplayer I know that if you hit the handbrake as you approach the first intersection (on the long circuit) you can drift around the whole circle in 2nd gear

in America its called an enduro, demo is in a confined space this is figure 8 style I believe cross the line first or be the last car running is how the victor is awarded

It's basically the same as GRID and GRID 2, with a couple of visual improvements

Just a quick question, can you buy a DD car (think it's the Jupiter Eagleray) or do you just have to loan it every time you play? I couldn't find it anywhere to buy.

It's the only car in the game you can't buy, for some reason. Codies are doing a lot of multiplayer patches so it might get added in at some point, I don't know.

Geez, just remembered the one fun I did find in the relatively short time I owned GRID... Demo Derby. Much like the Figure 8 racing I did in my younger days, except in game the AI doesn't stop for me like they did in real life.

Trick is: make everyone think you are psychotic, and they will stop for you in the intersection rather than risk killing their car.

i forgot how much the driving style is different form fm4, i got my game yesterday and struggled like hell last night, you'll do well to survive 15 laps lol

Just remember that the assists are forced off, whether that includes ABS or not I'm not entirely sure. The cars lock up super easy without ABS so be careful

I generally have traction control on at the very least, so this is going to be interesting, haha. Ought to be a good laugh, though.

So that was incredible fun. I almost wish it was three races a meet.
