okFlyin Mikey J wrote:Joito, the 425PI cars are in the Pre1970 race because there is a wide performance gulf between the cars of the 1950s and late 1960s. So two classes, that appear to be three except that the 1950s racers balance well with upgraded 425PI road cars.

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
Do I need to use the #41 McLaren F1 GTR or can I also use the #43 McLaren GTR? It has the same PI, same specs everything is the same except the build year ('97 as the Davidoff is '98) and name.

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
When I apply the paint to my cars for the Silverstone Classic do I need to include my TORA race number or are we running without them?

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
Good question.
The answer is yes. I do know that period correct liveries and numbering are requested, and TORA numbers are required.

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
No the URL isn't required for this one.
It's meant to be more of a fun event so no issues there.
If the numbers stay a little low then we will probably condense the schedule for the races and qualy. I.e run qualy for each race just before it rather than all together in the morning.
How would people feel about that?

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
Ok cool - I'll wait on a few more participants feedback and amend the timetable accordingly.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Key is to make sure it's a fun event for all concerned.

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
I think your new time table would really help out American time members.
Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
I prefer to do qually in the morning because I can't make qually in the afternoon.
Or perhaps we can also do a qualification session on Friday evening or so.

The plan would be a few Qualy laps just before the race proper. Would that not be possible?
Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
Qualy right before the race would be best for me.

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
Sadly I will not be with everyone this weekend due to an out of town commitment.
TORA should be covered with fellow streamers that day, hopefully.

Are the races standing starts, or are they going to be rolling starts?

Re: Silverstone Classic General Discussion
Thank you Matt. I think that this could help attract my fellow Americans, as now they can actually qualify.

We'll go for rolling starts I think. If it's good enough for the real Classic it's good enough for us
