Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
I would say extend the season by one week, start this round from scratch next week

I'd say the best option would be to run the race before the next round(26/10). Start at 7-730 ish, run Silverstone, allow a 20-30 minute break and then run the next round afterwards. I think it'd allow those who can't make it next week to still race if they'd qualified today.
That's my thoughts
I disagree... It also would make people like me, who had already planned to miss next race, to instead miss two races. It seems more inclusive to run it next Sunday, but that's just my opinion.

I would give points by qualifying so we keep the championship to schedule.

Fair enough
either way, it looks like a lose lose situation. Maybe half points for qualifying positions is best. It's not fair on people who cant race next week but could tonight, and to those who can't in 2 weeks.

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
Qualifying is done and dusted mate, can't change it now.
Options that were discussed in lobby A as followed:
1) Use qualifying times as race finish results and hand out points for those positions.
2) Postpone race until next week.
3) Postpone race until next fortnight and run Silverstone and Nurburg GP consecutively.
4) Sub one of the crappier tracks for Silverstone *cough Yas Marina cough*
I think there were more options but I lack the ability to recall them.
Now obviously, there are going to be people that do not agree with one or more options due to their time table or what not, so it's going to be difficult to decide what to do.

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
Im biased because I was without internet today anyway... but definitely vote for starting this week from scratch in 2 weeks. There are so many "whatifs" that it might make more sense to start over to avoid them all. (What if someone made it today but cant make next race, what if a teammate couldnt make one or the other, etc) might be best to do like mentioned above and either race 2 in 2 weeks or extend season

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
i think we need to establish the availability of those who qualified today and if it comes to it race it throughout the week in varying lobbies, standing start and award points based on overall time (would need a host etc). I do have to agree with Xyloto though plus preparing for a new track means losing your edge on the previous one, it just adds alot of work especially those who are at work/ school/ donating sperm 7 days a week.
Im cool with whatever caters for those who qualified tonight but dont want to miss this track out as i actually dont suck around it for once lol.
BTW: I vote option 1 or 4 if it comes to it

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
The best way to do it in my opinion is to gather up all the options and have a vote - majority rules. Sure it's going to be unfair to some but unfortunately you can't please everyone all the time.

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
I think if it was just scored off of qualifying would be the best option and most fair, it sucks we don't get to race as I think all of us were excited for it.
But in the end, it keeps the series on schedule and minimizes any driver unavailability when trying to run a rescheduled round.

I would like to vote for both option 1 and 4. I think we should award points for qualifying today and then swap Silverstone for Yas so we still get to race it with another full qually session. Yas is the only track in the calendar that I hate, so happy to drop it.

but but but, i was looking forward to Yas

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
If those are the options I would go for option 1, I can live with or without Yas so option 4 is ok for me
I know I am not free in the week to re run it, im on lates this week so wont be getting back til gone midnight throughout the week

Happy to ban Soundwave from TORA for ever for having no taste in tracks....

I would be cool with this being pushed back 2 weeks, I could not make this race anyway.

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
lol yas is a good to go as its "cutty" but if itll make Mr soundwave happy maybe we can race it unofficially after one of the other races...... but purely for fun with no points etc.
Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
My big issue is for those that made the commitment could potentially lose out so my personal view would be to red flag Silverstone and award points based on qualifying positions .
As for re running Silverstone we should let it go and continue the calendar as planned there are still another 5 rounds to go.

agreed, heck even scheduling some sort of practice sessions before each round would fun.

Re: MSA TORA GT Season 12 Round 5 Sign in (12th October)
Ok guys i have taken the votes into account and have made the decision that Round 5 of the TORA GT at Silverstone will be red flagged due to technical issues.
With the remaining tracks and dates in mind the decision has been made to issue points based on qualifying positions meaning the remaining races will continue as planned.
