TORA Avon Tyres British GT: Silverstone 500 Tutorial (For Hosts + Drivers)
Welcome to the MSA TORA British GT Silverstone 500!
This will be an 82 lap race split into two 42 lap stints (41 racing + pace lap)
Classes will be split into lobbies of their own to provide a fair and accurate race for GT4, as well as GT3.
The first stint will begin under standard rolling start procedure directed by the pole sitter. The second stint will start single file as the pole sitter accelerates out of the last corner and down the front straight to begin be stint.
Live lobbies will not be used, however stint 2 will start in the order the teams finished in stint 1.
When the stint is coming to an end, all driver must run straight to the finish. Do not stop one lap before or you will compromise your own result.
If a driver lags out, they will receive the race time of last place in their lobby +1 minute. If a driver fails to start, he will receive 120 minutes as his stint time.
We ask everyone to please take pictures/screenshots/game clips of the results once everyone has finished. It is very important to have as many sources for this information as possible!
Stint Information the host will be collecting for each driver:
- Approx. Pace Lap Time (Pole Sitter)
- Driver
- Laps Completed
- Race Time
If the hosts fails to collect the pace lap time as the stint is starting, it may be found by playing the replay and setting a timer when it starts.
This format was proven very effective on Forza 5, and will be put to the test on Project CAR's. The difference between the two is that on Forza, every driver ran every lap before finishing. On PCAR's, once leader has finished, everyone a lap or more down just finishes the lap they're on. Don't worry, we have a procedure to accommodate for this, it is just very important that we know how many laps each driver completed, as well as their race time.
With the help of the community taking part, let's make this work as well as it has in the past! Best of luck this weekend, and as always, any questions will be happily answered, just keep them constructive.

So if there are 13 GT3 cars in your lobby and someone lags out there would get points for 13 in there lobby ? Also how will the rolling start work when you can only get 8 people into a Xbox live party ?

My guess would be not leaving until the car ahead of you does...it's worked in the past and lowers the chance of turn one incidents
Re: TORA Avon Tyres British GT: Silverstone 500 Tutorial (For Hosts + Drivers)
If your having a rubbish race lagging out could be the best option. Is 1 minute enough?

@TB1 - this is time added up. Last in lobby A only beats lobby B if he's gone faster than them.

So its just like the TORA endurance championship then ? but we had the problem of people going slow in qualifying going into a lower lobby and then beating people in the higher lobby's because people in that lobby are not as fast as them and will be able to run in clean air without anyone slowing them down.... but yet again if people are going 3 secs a lap faster in the race than in qualifying it would be easy to see.

Can everyone hosting please ensure theyve read and understand the OP.
Its vital that everything is snapped so take pics at the start of the first racing lap and at the end.
Make sure communication is sorted within your lobby and everyone is aware of their position.
