Welcome to the 2015 TORA V8 Supercars championship Season 3. This championship will be contested on Forza Motorsport 6 on Xbox One and will consist of 6 rounds.
Before you decide to enter the series, please take the time to read the rules & regulations very carefully:

1.0 General Racing Rules & Driving Etiquette

1.1 Motor racing as defined by TORA, is a non contact sport. It is understandable that on occasion, some contact may occur as a consequence of incidents caused by either party, like lag for example. Competitors with lag issues won’t be penalized, but will be asked to improve their connection for future participation in TORA’s events. 1.2 TORA expects every competitor who partakes in our championships to behave in an appropriate and respectable manner. Insulting comments or behaviour towards fellow competitors, race stewards, lobby hosts and staff is unacceptable and will be dealt with severely. Also, respectable on-track etiquette is expected of all competitors. This includes on-track battles, track limits, dirty driving etc.

2.0 CHAMPIONSHIPS

2.1 DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP

This will be a championship fought by each driver for themselves. The points at the end of this series will be their final points total and will result in their position in the standings at the end of the series.There is ONE dropped round for this championship.

2.2 TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP

This will be a championship fought by teams of two drivers. The points at the end of this series will be their final points total and will result in their position in the standings at the end of the series.There is no dropped round for this championship.

2.3 DROPPED ROUND

The dropped round will be the driver's lowest score. This includes scores of 0pts as we appreciate that, on occasion, real life may not permit drivers to attend races.

3.0 LIVERY RULES:

Failure to adhere to the livery rules may result in a penalty or disqualification.

5.0 PRACTICE & QUALIFYING RULES:

For qualifying sessions, please see the calendar thread. The fastest clean time from a driver, as denoted by the game, will be recorded for qualification.

6.0 RACE RULES:

6.1 There are three types of races in this series; Sprint, Street and Enduro. Please see the Calendar thread for the format of each of these.

6.2 Enduro races require teams of two drivers to pair up into a single car to complete two stints. Teams entered into the Teams Championship must pair with their registered team mate. Privateers may run both stints solo or pair with another driver. All drivers entered into this race will share the same resulting points as the other driver in their car.

6.3 Please check the season calendar for track confirmation.

6.4 All of the races will commence with a rolling start which will include a formation lap.

6.5 START PROCEDURE:
6.5.1 - Drivers are called off the grid by lobby host in correct grid order.
6.5.2 - Drivers proceed around the circuit in single file. Tyre warming is permitted but brake testing is NOT.
6.5.3 - Towards the end of the lap, the lobby host will request drivers to form up in 2x2 formation. EXTREME CARE MUST BE TAKEN.
6.5.4 - The driver in last place must confirm to lobby host once all cars are in position.
6.5.5 - The rolling grid will then await the 3-2-1-GO call from the lead driver. The lead driver must make this clearly audible; if he cannot, the driver in the position behind will call instead.
6.5.6 - This call will come before the lead driver is about to cross the Start/Finish line.
6.5.7 - The field will then accelerate to race speed but individuals must not overtake until they have passed the start/finish line.
6.5.8.1 - If, for some reason, no 3-2-1-GO call was made from any driver, drivers will begin racing when they each pass the start/finish line.
6.5.8.2 - If the host deems the start as described in rule 6.5.8.1 unfair to the majority of the field, the race may be restarted.

7.0 PIT STOPS

There are NO mandatory pit stops during the race. You are permitted to pit at your own accord to refuel and change tyres, or if you have damage to your car or wish to retire.

8.0 Safety Car Rules

9.0 Steward Inquiries Rules

Standard SI rules in force please refer to sporting regulation handbook

10.0 SERIES POINTS

This will be the points system for the championship and will be the same in the overall, privateers and teams standings.

Do we go racing when we cross the start finish line or wait until 1st place has said 3-2-1- go EVEN if 1st place has not said 3-2-1- go and we have pass the start finish line ?

But what if 1st place has passed the start finish line and has not said 3-2-1- go ? do we go racing when we pass the start finish line or wait until AFTER the start finish line for 1st to say 3-2-1- go ?

If no call is made by the time the 1st place driver crosses the start line then the race will start

Ok LMR Deftone is saying we must wait for the green even if 1st place has cross the start finish line and BG Chucky is saying we go racing when 1st place has cross the start finish line.... witch one is it ??????????? because last time I checked TORA rolling starts was 1st place called 3-2-1 go before the start finish line and there was no overtaking until we passed the start finished line and if 1st place did not call 3-2-1- go then when your car had crossed the start finish line to start lap 2 ( Racing lap 1 ) then the racing starts and overtaking can begin.

Deftone what he is saying if the field go to the start line and go is not called when do you start racing, turn 1? turn 2 or turn 3 when the guy decides to say 3-2-1-GO, no if the driver dont say 3-2-1-GO by the time the 1st place driver crosses the start line then the race is GO and no overtaking before the start line but can go racing speed.

Hello im back lol....personaly it should be last place man who calls go that way the front lot cant jump away like it allways happens if last place calls go i think its mote fair imo..

I know what he's saying. In British GT the field was not entirely formed, and upon crossing the start finish line he pulls out of his grid position and blows passed the entire feild. He was disqualified from the stint and rightfully so. This sort of thing has happened before and you must wait for the polesitter to give the green. He tried to take advantage of what he thought would be a technicality in the rules, and that isn't the case.

Back when I ran DTM, I had the drivers go at a certain spot on the track (usually the start of the pit wall). Would that be worth a try?

I still find it amazing that the field cannot be in ready state by the time they get near the start line, surely after turn 2 they should all be in there order.

Standard TORA rolling start really.

Basically, a guy at the front of the field will call "3-2-1-GO". When they say "GO", everyone floors it. You're not allowed to overtake the guy in front until you pass the start/finish line.

If you didn't hear a "3-2-1-GO" from anyone, the last resort is to basically just GO when you pass the start/finish line. If that's the case, however, the race might be restarted by the host because the start may be unfair to some in the confusion of the lack of the call of "GO". But that's at the discretion of the Marshal based on feedback from the lobby at the time.
