I think they would notice dude but hey times are ranging anywhere from high 47 to high 51 seconds so plenty of scope to improve. Personally I think brands hatch indy especially is a very picky track in that you get on line wrong and it's easily a second lost bro so consistency is the key as solar has said before.
I've done close to 400 testing laps and quickest so far is a 49.9

the quickest Lap ive heard off around Brands Hatch Indy is a 47.2 :O and i only hit a 47 like 4-5 times i aint that rapid haha

I wouldnt worry about race pace or lap times in general, especially at a track like Brands Hatch Indy where overtaking is so difficult, remember qualifying is very limited on the amount of laps and dirtying a lap is easy to do. As for the race itself, popping ten / twelve cars running roughly the same speed as yourself in qualifying on the same track is the bigger issue than the lap times, Brands Hatch Indy as the opening round is cruel, small mistakes are easy to make and difficult to recover from as the field take advantage, a good challenge though what ever level you are at.

Thanks that gives me a little relief as this is the first real organised race I've run in although many years experience in racing games the main worry I have is I'm not quick enough in quali as quickest I've managed so far us a 49.9

Man I've been part of this forum for a while and still not won a race... I don't pretend I'm fast, I just go out there for the laughs and for the healthy competition... You won't find any better man! Don't worry about being quick enough, I use the mantra, just get that car to the end of the race enjoy it, it's gonna be a good season!!!!
