Re: Vintage Trans Am Media
Its just coming up to the third anniversary for Wheelwash Racing Media and apart from the 18 months break i took in the middle to be ill, its now making its way back in a slightly different guise these days, but TORA have seen plenty of pictures in the three years, the majority of which being on Forza Motorsports 4. Unfortunately someone hacked my Flickr account in 2014, meaning i lost alot of the early stuff, but if you fancy a look back, the Flickr Albums are there to be enjoy at any point.
One series i always enjoyed was the Trans Am Championship, its been a favourite of mine, the car above was my Moffatt Mustang, and well i could pick any of the cars and be a happy man and yesterday evening saw a sad day really, not just for the Trans Am Series, who knows that may reappear in time, but Forza Motorsports 4, the game that just wouldnt go away, and even now, i bet theres a series somewhere being organised for the Xbox 360.
Forza Motorsports 4 lasted a good two years longer than anticipated, has had a solid following on TORA, but the time has come to say goodbye to the Xbox 360 and Forza Motorsports 4 in official TORA series.
Sebring International was the final destination, the drivers title was already in the bag with Some Evil Dude having clinched it last week in a very familiar looking car. but that didnt stop the nine drivers in attendance from putting on a show to the masses and Flyin Mikey J asked the question and gave me a few photos and say good bye to TORA's involvement in an official capacity and well, i was honoured really, truth be told if i still had an Xbox 360, this would have seen me in attendance for one last fling.
The evening saw BigBen0913 taking a double of wins, with Some Evil Dude and xJohnGalt117x and EZT Coot also keeping the podium steps warm throughout the evening.
To finish though, and because it still raises a smile as i had a spot in the old ATP Diary for the Lag Of The Week and perhaps the lasting memory for myself of Forza 4 was the pictures due to lag, weather you were like the Goodyear Blimp or mysteriously destroyed with absolutely not a car in sight, it was a frustration that hit us all at some point, some more than others and Midnite Rider left this wee ditty to enjoy
Forza Motorsports 4 and the Xbox 360, thank you for the memories!!

Wow! He almost landed back on all fours, if not for that "leeetle" puff of wind outta the east that sealed his fate. Congrats to you guys on your Podium, along with John Galt. Good racing!

Re: Vintage Trans Am Media
Sad that this will be my last race here. Seeing as TORA is leaving FM4 and I do not have and cannot get a Xbone. Thanks for hosting the all the series you did. It was nice meeting you all while I raced here, I really enjoyed myself.
If you ever around on your 360's or the One once backwards compatibility comes for FM4 GLR will be running the Nascar racing again at the FM Challenge forum. Feel free to come by and check us out, we are currently running a FM6 series there. I was going to run a FM4 series there but have had no takers so it is on hold.

^ As much as I like FM6, I still see that as a sad moment. The end of an era.
Re: Vintage Trans Am Media
Thought I would share my lap 2 of qualifying when I rolled my car. Thanks for the memories TORA.
