TORA iRacing Mazda S2 - Rules and Regulations

General Rules & Driving Etiquette

Motor racing as defined by TORA, is a non contact sport. It is understandable that on occasion some contact may occur that is not expected by either party, for example due to lag. Competitors with 'lag' issues will not be penalized, but may be asked to improve their connection, if the issue is persistently hindering other's experiences please see connection section.

TORA expects competitors who partake in its championships and meetings to behave in an appropriate and respectable manner. Insulting comments or behavior towards fellow competitors and race stewards is unacceptable and will be dealt with severely. Also respectable on-track etiquette is expected of all competitors, including on-track battles, track limits etc.


DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP

This will be a championship fought by each driver for themselves. The total amount of points at the end of the series will be their final points total and will result in their position in the overall drivers standings at the end of the series.

TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP

Teams will consist of a minimum of 2 drivers and a maximum of 3. All of whom must be using the same car and in the same identical liveries. Throughout the entirety of this championship, the top 2 scoring drivers of each race will count towards the teams championship.

CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS

The winner of a race will be awarded 100points. points will then work down at minus 2 so 98,96,94 etc. There will also be 2 points for the fastest lap of each race

MEETING RULES

Drivers should be aware that there are 2 races a night

The 1st of these will have a 20minute practice (starting at 7.30pmGMT) followed by a 10 minute qualifying session. The race will be set to 25 minutes.

There will be a break between race 1 finish and the start of the 2nd qualifying session

The 2nd qualifying session will start at 9.00pm GMT and last 10 minutes. The race that follows this will also be 25 minutes.

COMMUNICATION

Drivers are allowed to use headsets and to use the chat boxes but please keep this to a minimum during  qualifying and the races so drivers can concentrate and can hear their spotters.

MAX INCIDENTS BEFORE DISQUALIFICATION - 99 (updated after Sebring Race 2)
HARDCORE LEVEL - Disallow All Driving Aids ( but Clutch Assist OK)
STANDING STARTS BOTH RACES
NO FAST REPAIRS
RETIREMENTS - If you 'retire' from a race you will be awarded half championship points for the position iRacing places you in when race is over
