2016 TORA Indy 500 Rules and Regulations
This race will not be geo-blocked and will be wide open to wild card entrants.
Build rules-
All cars must have stock rims and builds, no exceptions!
Qualifying-
33 Spots are available to qualify for. Drivers will be given up to 3 attempts to qualify for the race. An attempt counts as taking the green flag after you're warm up laps.
Lobby's will have up to 3 drivers attempting at a time, collisions will be off and drivers will be spaced apart as to not interfere with on another. Drivers will have 2 warm up laps and 4 flying laps. Again at the start of your flying laps it will count as an attempt!
Should a driver set a time, still be in the field and wish to set another time, drivers must let organizers aware of intention to make another attempt on the forums in the qually thread. Their previous time is then officially withdrawn (meaning you are no longer qualified for the race) and attempts are not reset. You get 3 chances, period!
Qualifying results are your 4 flying laps accumulated time minus your warm up lap time. Times will be translated to average speed later in the week but lowest total time is the Pole Winner.
Field will be 33 drivers (2 lobbies, 1st of 17 and 2nd of 16 ) should 1 of the qualified drivers not make the event the driver who is 34th will be admitted into the field but at the tail end. If that driver cannot make the race then 35th will be admitted etc.
Race-
There will be 5, 40 lap segments for the night accumulating to 500 miles of racing.
Segment 1 will be set to 42 laps (first 2 count as warm up laps) and will race to the finish.
Segment 2-5 will be set to 40 laps with drivers racing right off the line. Winner is declared by lowest total time for all 5 segments
Lobbies will not be "Live Lobbies" meaning no reshuffle after each segment, this is to save time on the night. Lobby B will have 2.5 seconds added onto their first segment time only, this gives advantage to qualifying in a higher lobby. Results will be accumulative time for all 5 segments. B lobby you have 500 miles to make up the time you are behind, anything can happen!
Damage will be simulation so watch yourselves and others!

Re: 2016 TORA Indy 500 Rules and Regulations
Louis I don't think i'll be able to make the qualifying tonight for the 500. Would I be able too start in last place of B lobby for the race if not all 33 spots are filled up?

Since we didn't have as many people as expected, what will be the race format in terms of lobbies?

Re: 2016 TORA Indy 500 Rules and Regulations
It's quite fascinating that I got deliberately ignored 3 times when asking a question. A simple "no you can't race since you didn't qualify" would've sufficed. What a joke

I think it is usual starting time. I know that it is 1am GMT so I think it is 8pm EST (better double check with Louis)
