British GT 2016 Rules Package
TORA BRITISH GT CHAMPIONSHIP - RULES & REGULATIONS
Welcome to the 2016 TORA British GT Championship, the official e-sports championship for the best sportscar series in the UK.
This championship will be contested on the XBOX One version of Project CARS and will consist of 7 rounds.
Before you decide to enter the series, please take the time to read the rules & regulations very carefully:
General Racing Rules & Driving Etiquette
Motor racing as defined by TORA, is a non contact sport. It is understandable that on occasion, some contact may occur as a consequence of incidents caused by either party, like lag for example. Competitors with lag issues won’t be penalized, but will be asked to improve their connection for future participation in TORA’s events. If the issue is persistently hindering other competitor’s experiences, please perform a speed test on your connection via http://www.speedtest.net/ Once you have completed this, see the connection section via the link below
http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/t1312-xbox-live-connectivity
TORA expects every competitor who partakes in our championships to behave in an appropriate and respectable manner. Insulting comments or behaviour towards fellow competitors, race stewards, lobby hosts and staff is unacceptable and will be dealt with severely. Also, respectable on-track etiquette is expected of all competitors. This includes on-track battles, track limits, dirty driving etc.

DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP.
This will be a championship fought by each driver for themselves. The points at the end of this series will be their final points total and will result in their position in either the GT3 or GT4 standings at the end of the series. There is ONE dropped round for this series.
PRIVATEERS CHAMPIONSHIP
To be eligible for competing in the privateers championship, drivers should only compete for themselves and not be part of a team. The points at the end of this series will be their final points total and will result in their position in either the GT3 or GT4 privateers standings at the end of the series. There is ONE dropped round for this series.
TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIP
Each team will consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 drivers. The amount of points scored by the top two drivers from each team in all 7 rounds will count towards their team’s points total. There will be two individual championships for the GT3 & GT4 categories respectively.
SUBSTITUTE/TEAM DRIVER CHANGES.
There is one free substitute or team driver changes allowed in this series. Subsequent changes will result in a 25 point cost per driver per race. Once a team of drivers has been registered, it is preferred that the team stays with their original line up throughout the entirety of this championship.
DROPPED ROUND
Dropped rounds apply to drivers only. There are no dropped rounds for teams.
The dropped round will be the driver's lowest score. This does include 0pts as we appreciate on occasion, real life may not permit drivers to attend races.

Drivers who compete in every round of the championship will automatically receive a 15pt bonus at the conclusion of the championship.

No passing until you've passed the start line.

Don't worry I tried to explain before this to him before in a party but he didn't want to listen so there's no point trying to explain to him again. Even after matt has explained

I don't think we need to spell out what happened at Silverstone last season...

Re: British GT 2016 Rules Package
I just want to check something, as it's starting to make me feel thick. First the rules say:
"Race meetings for this championship will consist of 6 rounds with 2x 30 minutes races and 1x 1 hour endurance. Please check the season calendar for confirmation."
Then later...
"SILVERSTONE RACE RULES.
The fourth round of the championship will be 1 hour 30mins in length (approx. 42 laps)."
So I'm guessing that the first quote has got the Silverstone race length wrong by 30 mins, and every other round is 2x30 mins races?

Re: British GT 2016 Rules Package
I would imagine Silverstone has x1 race at 1hr 30 and the other rounds are the x2 30 min and x1 he race

That's what I thought, but when checking the calendar the non-Silverstone rounds are all "2 races".

Re: British GT 2016 Rules Package
The lap data for each track has been updated.
Silverstone will be a 1h30 min race with all other races running to approx. 30mins each.
This gives us enough time to have qualy on the night as well and still aim to finish within the 2hr timeframe (with a minimal overrun for Silverstone

During pit stops are we required to refuel and change tyres or do we just have to visit the pits

As long as you visit the pits it's down to you what you do in there.
A fresh pair of boots is always helpful though

Re: British GT 2016 Rules Package
Just so im sure as i cant find if it says and dont wanna get done for cheating but... As there is a mandatory pit stop, I know from racing online that in a race thats short enough to do it on 1 set of tyres (As i believe these races probably would be) you can save a large amount of time by only either adding a small amount of fuel and no tyres or just not adding anythng and doing a basic stop and go pit. Is it mandatory to CHANGE the tyres so everyone is on a level pit time?

Re: British GT 2016 Rules Package
No - it's primarily just the stop. While, yes some races mean you won't need to change tyres it's more about simply having that car in the pits.
