Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
TCS and Stability control are both on.
Damage will be off as we found a few issues last year that was ruining people's races quite early on. So for 'accessibilty' sake that's what we have.
All other info can be found in the Lobby Settings thread

Very interested in registering but don't know much about BoP in Project Cars. I've only had experience driving the RUF and the Macca. Are they any good or is Bentley the way to go.

The Bentley was slightly ahead when we ran this last year. That being said, there's better drivers cars here. The Z4 is particularly good. Of course we don't quite know how good the new AMG GT3 will be either

That and a patch came out some time ago that made the GT3 field as a whole much more closer, the mercs for instance should be able to out drag the Bentley down the straight but the Bentley has slightly better handling. OP handling goes to the McLaren in my opinion but that is just my driving style as well. so find a car that you're suited to I would suggest

Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
Just as an FYI, now that an entire lobby can be in one party chat we will be setting this up for BGT so no excuse not to hear other people
Start procedures are as per the TORA norm for rolling starts and we will confirm the side of the grid etc before we set off just as in Production GT at the moment. This was tested last night at Hockenheim with BGT in mind and worked really nicely.

I am fairly new to projectCARS, so, are there any livery requirements for this series?

Can't paint cars in pcars

Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
Yea if you read the registration post it's all explained, but basically you pick 2 livery numbers you wish to run, 1 is your 1st choice and the other is a back up then check which you have been accepted for and your good to go for the car you wanna run

I had a problem with this in the enduro too, but how do you make sure the game gives you the livery you want?

You must select your car and livery once you are in the lobby.

Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
Thinking of switching to GT3. With the new Mercedes AMG GT3 DLC not out yet (Supposed to release on the 15th). Could I run the SLS for round 1, And then switch to the new car from Round 2 on wards if I was to sign up with the AMG GT3 as my car choice?

Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
From the rules page:
CAR SWAPS
Car choices are 'largely' fixed once the championship starts. (Round 1 - Brands Hatch)
However, we appreciate that DLC additional content may provide extra options that some competitors may wish to take advantage of.
With this in mind, a 'transfer' window' will open between Oulton Park 22/05/16 and Sillverstone on 05/06/15.

Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
Really surprised with the field for this: 2015 Round 1 113 entrants - 2016 Round 1 40 entrants
Why has this lost so much appeal?

Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
A lot less people play Project CARS these days now it seems... Remember, last year we ran this very shortly after release
Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
Due to a couple of lobby failures and my Project CARS deciding not to load for some reason (!) Lobby 2 has scored same results as Race 1
We may see if we can squeeze an extra Brands race into the calendar just for B lobby in the future but failing that I felt this has been the fairest outcome as time is getting on a bit too.
As regards the field size - I have been a little surprised too but I think there's a few factors at play one of which is the impact those early days of the the title had on many racers here and elsewhere.
The racing is - though - still very good and Race 1 for us was fun!

Why has this lost so much appeal?
When the first season came around, PCars' competition was the anemic Forza 5. Since then, a much improved Forza 6 has been released.

If Forza really competition though? Like don't get me wrong, I love Forza, but for pure racing it's not really on the same level.

Re: British GT 2016 General Discussion
I was just stating a possible reason for smaller numbers from 2015 to 2016.
I've had PCars sitting on top of my console for about 6 weeks, but it has yet to be installed, due in large part to my enjoyment of Forza. There may be some aspects of PCars that are brilliant, but to me the carlist isn't one of them as I prefer lower class racing over the GT/LMP/Formula stuff. And w/o upgrades, the production cars on PCars don't interest me much.
