Where should we race
Where should we race next?
Hi all.
As you may already be aware, Monza has quite a big issue with allowed corner cutting so we though we'd give the option of a track change for this as policing this would be quite hard in an endurance.
We'll all be racing on it so it makes sense for us all to vote on which track would be best for the next round.
I've set the poll for 3 days so come Saturday night the track choice for the next round will be taken from this poll.

Re: Where should we race next?
COTA is just as bad, if not worse in terms of track limits..

Re: Where should we race next?
but Monza is awesome :/
also, WHY another American track?
Daytona, Sebring, and one of these, I may as well move to America...
What about Catalunya, hardly every used in Endurance races, what about Abu Dhabi, similar layout to COTA

Re: Where should we race next?
Watkins Glen, or a layout of it, has appeared in pretty much every TORA series since we moved to Forza 6! I'm sick of it!

Re: Where should we race next?
Personally I'd agree with Brad - Abu Dhabi would be great for an Enduro! Stunning day and night, similar local to Bahrain that is on the WEC calendar.
If I had to do one from the list, it'd be Road Atlanta for the Petite Le Mans (but it won't let me vote for some reason lol)

Re: Where should we race next?
Ugh, I hate Abu Dhabi and CotA both. Tilke-fied Hockenheim is up there, too. Too much a "simulated street circuit" without any reason to be. At least Watkins Glen and Road Atlanta have a flow to them.
However, as an American, I empathize with most of you and I wish there were more/better European tracks in the game. Or Suzuka to come back. Catalunya's nice, Brands Hatch is as well. Unfortunately, there's not a 'major' endurance race at either.

Re: Where should we race next?
Catalunya or Laguna Seca would be my first choices. Yas Marina is quite nice too.
Re: Where should we race next?
Watkins glen always produces good racing, was proven in V8's and other Series, But Laguna is a cracking Shout, Catalunya is a good shout also, but there the 4 options and Watkins is the 1 for me

Re: Where should we race next?
Too bad VIR is a download track as that would have been good for an endurance race similar

Re: Where should we race next?
I think Road Atlanta is the better choice cause it's also possible to cut some corners on Watkins Glen.

The Glen would be my first choice for sure. Wicked fast, wicked fun, and it produces great racing.

Re: Where should we race next?
Raced the glen too much recently, it gets boring after a while. Pretty sure WEC is signing a contract to run Indy at some point, the new GP layout...

Re: Where should we race next?
I agree with Noodle. Were always racing the glen. Road Atlanta
Petit Le Mans before Le Mans. It's logical in my opinion. The glen gets boring. Nothing really happens. Atlanta is challenging and will be fun

Re: Where should we race next?
VIR has a 10 Hour endurance race and Abu Dhabi also has a 12 hour. I'm surprised they're not included in the poll.
Re: Where should we race next?
VIR is DLC and not everyone has it
Yas Marina you can corner cut and Track limit more than anything

Re: Where should we race next?
I voted for the Glen over Road Atlanta because it would be SUCH a better track to overtake on.
No less than everyone is going to get killed at some point if we do Petit.

Re: Where should we race next?
Just wondering, why wasn't this problem of Monza not sorted out BEFORE the calendar was set out. If you're gonna put a track on the calendar, you should find these flaws and fix them before the championship starts and not a couple weeks before it's on. Bad organisation overall

Re: Where should we race next?
Monza. I agree with Statistic on this one, should have been sorted before the calender was laid out, people are already going to have made progress with tuning, stints, strategies etc. for Monza, changing the track at what I imagine will be the last minute will just be a bad move overall and screw a lot of people over.

Re: Where should we race next?
I didn't set the calendar, this was done before I took over, not sure if all tracks were tested before hand but generally you'd think that an issue like this wouldn't be in a track.
And we're giving the option of a change, if everyone wants to keep to Monza then we will keep with Monza.
Registrations for this round haven't even been opened yet and the race isn't for another 6 weeks so it's not exactly last minute.
If I can do an hours practice for Sebring the day before quali, then do nothing more other than quali then race and finish 3rd I'm pretty sure 6 weeks notice is enough.
