Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
oh and I started a little late cos I thought it was 8:15-11:15 lol. But I did knuckle down and run the whole lot in one straight sitting. Didn't stop for a teabreak halfway through - unlike some *huh skoda hmm* lol
Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
Its a very eventful first night so far, it appears you and Skoda could run away with it, with a couple of us totalling the car... I think your possibly right about the service areas, seemed better to have around every 3 stages. But it could be worth making it every 2,

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
yeah I'd say at least every 2 stages (like in career) - although maybe alternate long and short stages (short stage 2nd so less to struggle through lol) That's assuming you can edit a league once it's underway. If not, maybe next time
And you xboxers have really had a bad night if I end up anywhere near second lol. I'm new to the game AND new to my wheel (which I just couldn't get the hang of on forza)
and wow, you both totalled it? I just thought you'd had bad crashes but were able to limp on

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
I had a very bad night, had no car left and a puncture, hoping Germany will bump me up a bit but on xbox it only shows my total time:-/

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
kev's time has been added to the xbox league. Yup it's certainly not very forgiving - I'm really not looking forward to the snowy stages etc (my front bumper seems to have a snow magnet in it which then spins the car and then it takes me 20 seconds to reverse back and spin it back round
I think by the end of the entire event, most of my car stats were around 70% or worse lol.
On this, you definitely have to remember the old adage - to stand a chance of finishing first, first you have to finish lol (which at least you did, to have a total time - I guess that's how it works)

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
In fairness I have played this game a lot, and I mean ALOT in the Lancer R4. Think I have used the Polo once and it was in Wales. God help you when we get to there. lol
That was a lot of fun though, but Germany should be a lot closer as tarmac level the playing field

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
If you crash before stage 12 it doesn't post a total time as the leagues cannot physically put a time penalty on for not finishing the rally, provisionally (until leagues finish, you PC guys have it in the bag. Hopefully Germany will be better for us all, I know Kev totalled on final stage, his radiator was shot and the whole thing just gave in... As far as the manufacturer standings go, Ford are leading by 1pt (due to 1 extra driver showing up), mini and Hyundai are lagging behind, will have a bigger picture hopefully tomorrow when I can get ALL results finalised

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
so if kev didn't finish. Then at least GETTING to the 12th stage gets you a time. That's something at least (and gets kev "official" points from the game). Guessing if you as the league host can see live timings and where ppl 'died in a ditch', that you'll be awarding points on how far they got - as we do for disconnects etc in most series
Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
I am very interested in this series. However, unless I'm mistaken, the 12 stage events are open for a mere three hours and 15 minutes. This seems a little absurd for asynchronous play, and immediately eliminates my participation.

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
Last round, 3hrs 15mins was ample time for everyone to set a time(or those who competed anywho)... I would like to draw your attention to this being a sign up thread, put your input is noted

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
Sorry, I saw other questions in here. I agree that 3:15 is plenty of time, however, it's not enough time for someone who might be working at that very time. Are you opposed to a 24 hour window?

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
For this season, yes (only as it cannot be changed once the first rally begins) this season is basically a Beta test to see how it runs and if and where any improvements can be made, next season will most likely be a longer window of completion

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
It is... Codemasters haven't given us the power to edit a season once it's started... It seems extra care is going to have to be the order of the day

the servers seem to be rather touchy at the mo, there's a couple of options, to make it fair on those who's times have been deleted/not shown,
1. Put your names down as attended, you'll get points, but your times will be marked at 1hr 30 (to avoid beating anyone who's time has actually been posted, however can't see it being that long)
2. Postpone the rally until the end of the season. To level the playing field again (sorry if this happens Skoda, your time was a blinder as per)
I think postponing may be the best option

Re: TORA Rally Championship *SIGN UPS*
Seen as how Skoda is happy to run again, I say we should push it to the final round and go again in 2 weeks time in Finland
