"Rob "CallMehDarkside" Thomas, driver of the #52 Under Armour/Gatorade Chevrolet will sit out today's DeweyTee Memorial 400 due to a fractured wrist, Thomas fractured his wrist in an off track incident that resulted in a fracture in 2 places on his wrist, upon testing today and consulting with the team medical staff, we determined that his wrist will be to much of a challenge to cope with during the grueling 267 lap race and will force Mr.Thomas to sit out today's race, he will be cleared and ready to go by the next race in a few short weeks"

Statement from Rob:

"I respect and greatly appreciate the medical team putting my health before my car today and will sit out today's race, I am glad to be apart of a team that allows me to focus on my health before anything and will come back better than ever in the next race, just really bummed that I didn't get to race today, the Under Armour/DeweyTee Memorial car was fast right off the trailer and very happy with my performance, I'll be on the pitboxes of both FreshCubanBread and Ben today cheering them on"

No substitute has been announced as of yet and one is likely to not be announced.

Restarting on the mulsanne ruined my race. After the 1st lap crash I chose to do a 1 stopper, which would have worked if we had done the whole lap under pace speed.

I highly doubt 1 stop would've worked Chaddy. i could do 7 laps, but NEED to pit on lap 7, otherwise I wouldn't have enough to get it back around
