The game is now availabe to download over here in the UK for £39.99. And there appears to be a healthy selection of DLC.
Game dot co dot uk has it, but only available as an import for nearly £90 (NINETY!!!).

Considering downloading it, but would it be worth making a TORA based championship with it? (not to replace TASCAR but possibly to run as a second tier)

Everything I have read about the game is bad, and I have several friends who tried it and they all say it's garbage. Disappointing really, as I've been waiting years now for a good dedicated Nascar game. The last good one I played was 2005 I think.

Not saying you won't like it, but my hunch is there won't be enough interest to support a series here.

It's a real shame that this game isn't a lot better than it could've been Sad For a start, league race and any hopes of doing so is killed dead by the lack of any options in multiplayer. No qualifying, no way of setting grids, nada.

The career mode is rather barebones too. Just enough, but nothing more. For example, no duel qualifying for Daytona, tuning is limited to just fuel, tyres, grille tape, wedge and that's it i think. I'm running off of what friends have told me and what I've seen YouTubers doing.

That said, DMR have said that they will be listening to the community (hence them bringing it out in the UK) so hopefully Heat Evolution 2 will be much more expanded upon, but I'm personally hoping more for Forza 7 to really go to town with their NASCAR partnership

NASCAR Heat Evolution Empty Re: NASCAR Heat Evolution

I had the game at launch, and played it for oh, about 3 hours MAX before giving up and returning it to Amazon for a refund.

Like Mako, the last NASCAR title i full on liked was 2005: Chase for The Cup, though '09 was pretty neat how EA had an online "Locker" where you can create liveries on your computer using the templates for the Truck, Busch or Sprint Cup car and then load it into the game. only down point of that, was there was no dedicated manufacturer in the game, but real good painters created Ford/Chevy/Dodge/toyota liveries with lights and all that jazz.

Having said that, those few couple hours of playing Heat Evolution, was nothing but disappointment. Though during TASCAR festivities this weekend, FreshCubanBread i think, was mentioning the DMR guys are listening to the community and improving the game as they go. This is their first game On their own. NASCAR '15 was dumped onto them after Euteknyx left, so they already had a functioning game.

i just hope next year's product would be better. as a NASCAR fan growing up, I would still give the next game a try

I wanted this game to be good enough...

If it were, I'd give it a midweek go, using tracks a mile and under to fill the short track void that Forza has left us with. Bristol (one day, one night) Richmond (one day, one night) Martinsville, Phoenix and Loudon would have made an ideal Short Track series.
