Forza Motorsport 7
ok its very early doors atm but with news from fanatec that forza 7 is on the way and in production. lets begins discussion about it.....comment on what we like to see and return back and what we don't want to have. (anything)
so I think we be gaining a new car from Lamborghini.....afew days ago I was reading the entry list for the "Roar before the 24" and in the GTD class (GT3 if you don't know your racing). there was a entry which caught my eye.......Change Racing #16 Lamborghini Huracan GT3. one of the sponsors was Forza motorsport.
and early today we see the car with its livery on
cos theres a reason why turn 10 and Microsoft do this, it wont be for fun.

in the article it said that the car would be downloadable, so could this GTD make it into Forza Motorspoort 6?

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
At this point in the cycle I'd be very surprised if we got anything new in FM6.
Re: Forza Motorsport 7
Forza 7 needs longer races in career mode(or at least the ability to up the number of laps) and dynamic weather at all tracks.

i would like 2 see some new tracks like paul ricard ,oulton, thukston (ive no doubt spelt that wrong), sao paulo, donington, the gold coast, etc. nd maybe some old tracks bk tsukuba, maple valley nd mount fuji r big misses in my book
also some cars that would feature in cheaper motorsports like citeron saxos, vauxhall novas, cavaliers, vectra, the astras from l8 90s early 00s etc
and maybe some more tuning peramitors ie. throttle mapping, etc

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
ok, my list of tracks that I've been saying for years
Phillip Island, great for TEC/ASCC
Adelaide
Gold Coast, it's basically in FH3 so it can be in this
Bathurst is good, but there are better tracks in Aus, tracks that can hold more races than just V8s/TC and GT
Paul Ricard
Nuremburg
Bristol
Thunderdome (Calder Park)
Highlands MSP
Sandown maybe
Mid Ohio
Macau? or Monaco
Tsukuba
Fuji or Suzuka
Zandvoort
Zolder
Raupuna, GREAT fun on PCARS
basically; more short ovals, more short road courses and more street circuits that aren't fake, unless it's New York layout from FM1 but with FM3 chicanes
Cars that I've been saying for ages:
Aston GT car (that's not from 8 years ago)
Ginetta GT car
Proper GT4
and balance it as either GTE/LM or GT3, not a mix
Caddy, Lexus and Honda GT3
UTES!!!! give us Ford and Holden utes for a series, they're in FH3, so they can be in this
DTM
the new gen Supercars maybe, depending on how the season goes and what cars are in
Porsche as standard obviously
NEW LMP2?
Features:
Day/night transition or ability to chose a certain time even if it doesn't really have transition
if not day/night transition at least have day, dusk, night, dawn to accommodate that change
Multiple weather options (fog, different clouds, levels of rain)
Day/night at every track, even if it's a separate tab for track options rather than each option in the track list menu
A PROPER GIFTING TOOL LIKE ON FM4!!!!!
Ability to count laps in a timed race not distance...
higher lap count in multiplayer, even 100 would be good, but 200 would be ideal
now that it's on PC, the ability to import logos from online would be very cool, but unlikely
have one of every car and ability to chose liveries (like PCARS) rather than 3 of everything to accommodate 3 liveries. a 450 car list is useless if 150 of them are the same car...
I think that's it, for now
not it's not I thought of something
The ability to change the rate of fuel and tyre usage... have it run out faster in shorter races or realistically in enduros

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
Not a single thing I disagree with you over!
May be biased, but really hoping they expand the NASCAR... er... Expansion.
Trucks and XFINITY cars would be nice but I'd be willing to go without if it means we get a couple more ovals - even if it's just the ones with road courses like Charlotte. Also Bristol and Martinsville. Pleaseeeeeee.
Hell, even if they don't add any more ovals, please raise the lap count! It's so annoying having to run TASCAR in segments.
More real street circuits would be great. Macau, Monaco, Adelaide, Singapore. Other than that, Barber, Mid-Ohio, Paul Ricard, Donington, Suzuka, Sepang, Hermanos Rodriguez would all be welcome!

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
I'd like to think we'll see more of an emphasis on eSports in FM7. Given the arrival of the FMC and their dalliance with Formula E in the past I don't think this is out of the question.
So with that in mind I'd like to think we'll see some features come across from FH3 and maybe new ones that make it far easier to make and present eSports.
As for cars etc I don't disagree with any of the above really. I reckon more of the MSV circuits in the UK may well be a possibility given that we have Brands Hatch already and the UK/Europe is a natural expansion point given the number of US circuits we now have. It will depend on the licensing of course but would be cool to see Oulton Park, Snetterton and Donington Park make an appearance.
As I said, Europe would be a good development point. There's a lot of tracks there that haven't made the jump from FM4 and/or ought to be of big enough presence internationally to make an appearance (Paul Ricard/Portimao/Mugello/Imola for example) though I'd love to see a return to Japan. However, we don't know what sort of licence they have with GT which seems to be the only title with genuine versions anymore which is very short sighted and frankly preposterous.

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
Ah, the thread where all your dreams wont happen, im a simple man and would be happy to have Game Chat that actually works in a lobby of 24 ..............
.............. OK, that might be beyond realistic to have!
.............. OK, that might be beyond realistic to have!
Re: Forza Motorsport 7
Lobby chat that works.
Tuning in the lobbies.
For god sakes run a beta then tweek it.
Run a 2% power and grip handicap when running anything but an xbox controller.
bring back the crash crews who sort the public lobby idiots from the racers and ban them from forza.
Suggest that polls be taken by some of the top racing sites as to how to improve the game.
Bring back the red 'off Track' numbers instead of dirtying an entire lap (real racing does crucify drafting on a qually lap).
Bring back the tiered lobby system, I enjoyed being a LEGEND and it kept the wallies out of the racing lobbies.

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
adding to my list
if I get Imola in this game I will squeal!
building on what Tubbi said with tuning in lobbies
the ability to have different sessions in the game set up like in PCARS having the ability to do Practice (x2 option), Qualifying and warm up options where you can go in and out of the pits and change set ups etc
rather than it just being 'racing' set up with some minor changes

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
I've been saying that Forza should add more Australian tracks for a while now (not on TORA though) and Adelaide & Gold Coast would be a perfect lead in to even more Aussie Tracks.
Suzuka, Tsukba and Fuji would be great, Paul Ricard makes sense WEC wise. 5 to 6 tracks more is what I think they might add so there's my list. Calder Park is interesting Erebus, but I don't know how well known outside Aus it is. I feel like they'd need to add some AUSCAR cars if you added the Thunderdome.
I like the trimming of car models idea, there is too many of the same car different livery thing.
Car wise, a new Aston GTE/GT3 is well overdue, Ginetta GT car makes sense, GT4 cars, 488 GTE/GT3, AMG GT GT3, M6 GT3, Caddy, NSX and Lexus GT3's, Nissan GTR GT3, a new Porsche 911 GTE/GT3, the new LMP2's (all the chassis, under Gibson), I presume the utes will be back, DTM and more GT500 cars.
And the gifting system needs to come back.
That's my main wishes, higher lobby lap counts & possibly time. Oh and the colour system like FM4's, where you could have different classes in the same colour. I'm sure I could think of more but that's it for now.

Here is the post I wrote in the Forza wishlist discussion a few days ago:

- Have the option of fitting restrictor's on cars in the upgrade menu. Instead of setting horsepower penalties in the multiplayer options, have this under upgrades. There is multiple advantages of this.
1. It allows you to detune the cars to make them more competitive in different classes or to help balance builds for league racing.
2. It allows a better Balance of Performance (BoP) for, once again, league racing where currently there can only be 3 different groups. At the moment, if we balance a car from the start of a season, a slot is automatically taking because certain cars need restrictions. And that leaves less room in the middle of season for BoP changes.
3. It makes it REALLY convenient to tune a car with the restriction without having to bounce between the lobby and tuning section.
- Release more vehicles that are in actual race series (current and past) instead of ridiculous vehicles that's fun for the first 3 hours. Utimately, it's us league racers that continue to play Forza two years after it's release, and will greatly increase the replay value to other general gamers as well.
- Replay, Replay, Replay. Get rid of the ridiculous replay and spectating camera angles. It would make it more fun to watch races, like iRacing and Project Cars.
- Speaking of spectating, under the Forza TV option, have the ability to watch live lobby races. Thinking of us league racers again.
- Have more aero options. This can greatly increase the amount of cars that can compete in S class. Make more cars available with diffusers. I'm not sure how you racers think about this, but have two forza aero options. Have the current forza aero as "Forza Sport", so you can have the adjustability, but is merely enough aero for higher classes, and create a new "Forza GT" aero package with higher downforce, more like in the 500lb-700lb upper limit. Who knows, that could create a new GT4-GT5 class.

I wouldn't mind more of the same really. Forza 6 is excellent. I'm not so active with organised racing any more, so I'd like to see more of the showcase events in single player, more varieties of modern and historic race cars, more tracks, challenging AI!
A couple more aussie circuits would be nice. Basically any of the traditional stops on the Supercars calendar.

Re: Forza Motorsport 7
Some procedural wishes:
- Tweak Power/Grip Handicaps by 1% increments not 5
- Show me lap times not the nonsensical distance meter (same every lap duh) on time & distance-based races
- Include eSports and other spectator content updates in other racing formats between single-class, lap-count events
- Flash to pass
Would love to see some more tracks -- Mid-Ohio, Mosport, Surfer's Paradise (all formats, including the old CART circuit), Zandvoort, Kyalami (old and new), Dubai, Thunderhill, Paul Ricard, Fuji, Autopolis, Hermanos Rodriguez (all formats including NASCAR oval), Shanghai, Sepang, Bahrain would all be nice additions (maybe the latter foursome to give us all the current WEC tracks - having all of the circuits of a major international series would be nice)
Would love to see a wider range of GT and Prototype cars and move FM towards primary focus on actual circuit racers.
