Re: RACE TECH TORA Endurance Championship 2017: General Discussion
If I'm reading this right, It really seems kinda crappy that qualifying is being held on Wednesday & Thursday at 1500 BST. That's 10:00 am EST. That makes qualifying for drivers in North America that work for a living impossible.

Special Announcement: Following their multiple penalties and stint disqualifications during the 6 hours of Spa for blatant ignorance of track limits, the FIA GT TEAM is here by disqualified for the rest of the TEC season. The drivers of that car are not permitted to re-enter or join other cars join other cars of this season.
FIA Team Racing:
Hello first of all though is too late to apologize to the organization by the behavior of my stint in the Spa race, motivated by the desire of a pilot who wore a Corvette and i wanted to win the race in the first 3 turns and was responsible for teasing our race, the team FIA Team Racing will abide by decisions of the comisrios career of the which as I said I take responsibility away from hide and give the face for good and for evil and which I applaud the decision to leave out just a week before the 24 Hours of Le Mans by my irresponsible behavior but also to say that we have suffered beatings, sanctions and Until some comment of bad taste that although we are Spaniards understand something the language and we have kept away from any problem but review please the actions of race especially in the first few laps as it is when you produce the majority of incidents, without more to say to congratulate the organization of Tora Racing and wish luck to all participants on all our team of prototypes.

Are we allowed to run in multiple cars for Le Mans? For example could I race in both the Ford GT and the TS040 for separate teams at separate parts of the race?

So is there usually no recourse if someone lags out of Qualifying? Or is there something that can be done if that happens?

The best practice when qualifying is to have all of your drivers do a session, this way you are safeguarding anyone having any bad luck in the session, be that not getting a clean lap / lag / damage etc. By only qualifying 2 drivers and one of them having a bad session, there's not really anything we can do about that, to put on an extra session would be completely unfair to everyone else.
Quoting the qualifying rules you can see it's stated for this series that each driver may only take part in one session, this is also the same for any other series.
BIGBEN0913 wrote:Qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place during the week leading up to the event. The lobby will be set to 1 Hour, however when the timer reaches 15 Minutes remaining, finish the lap you're on and await confirmation that the lobby host has taken down your time. Each driver may only take part in one session. All drivers may qualify, but the 2 fastest times from your team will be used to calculate the team's qualifying time.
I myself am capable of doing 3:59's in my GT, however only managed to stick in 1 clean lap right at the end of the session and ended up with a 4:03, but as I have experience I knew to have all of my drivers qualifying in case this happened,
All I can advise is to learn from this, there's nothing stopping you out driving the cars in A lobby though, we've had people on the podium who are not in A lobby before so I wouldn't be too concerned about this.

Anyone have a tune for the Porsche?
For some reason I cant solve it's understeer issues no matter how much I tune it. I thought it would be similar to the Porsche on FM4 but how wrong I was!
Anyone care to help out?

Can I ask what the problem is? Are you're referring to FIA Marquez UCA's penalty? If so, he was driving the wrong way around the track during qualifying and we have footage of this, they weren't the only driver who had their time DQ'd. If you're referring to something else could you please clarify what your problem is? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to discuss this publicly
Re: RACE TECH TORA Endurance Championship 2017: General Discussion
Also just for anyone else that decides to drive backwards,
When you registered to the series you agreed to this which is in the first post on the Registration thread:
"By registering, you are confirming that you have read the Rules & Regulations and agree to follow them."
http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/t17933-race-tech-tora-endurance-championship-2017-championship-registration
Rules and regulations are here:
http://forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/t17931-race-tech-tora-endurance-championship-2017-rules-regulations
Take note of the following
1.5 All TORA members must read and follow the TORA Sporting Regulations. Note that and specific rules defined in these Rules & Regulations will take precedence over rules outlined in the Sporting Regulations: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Z61lkYkBXCFr9-dGRIO0o6RJgdqIcjWOAFzdjPGJhbw/pub
in the above Sporting Regulations, take note of the following:
Driving the Wrong Way:
7.5.22 Driving the wrong way during any TORA meeting will result in DQ from the event, even when cars are held in parc ferme conditions, and the incident will be reported to the TORA Steward team. In extreme circumstances, permission to drive ‘WD’ can be sought from the lobby host and Race Control but must be undertaken in a safe and controlled manner.
If anyone still thinks driving backwards is acceptable, they will be DQ'd!

Re: RACE TECH TORA Endurance Championship 2017: General Discussion
I just want to point out I did not report the driver FIA Marquez for driving backwards because he is an FIA team member. I will report anybody who I see driving backwards during qualifying. If it was a different driver I also would have reported him.
I just happened to be coming out of the pitlane when he was reversing his car.

Re: RACE TECH TORA Endurance Championship 2017: General Discussion
So I noticed in qualifying, that for the prototypes to go fast, we have to turn the logical parts of our brains off. This can results in some scary lines.

It has nothing to do with you being Spanish or being on a Spanish team.
It has to do with your team completely ignoring the rules and often causing problems. Look how many penalties your team has accrued since the beginning of the year.
If you need clarification on the rules, then you need to ask. You have not, so everyone assumes that you understand the rules, and that you're just racing badly.
Improve your team's racecraft and there won't be an issue.

Hey FIA, do some of your team members have an hard time reading English? I was told majority of your team mates are spanish. This comment is not to attack you. Its to make sure you fully understand the rules. If some of the words you don't understand, I pretty sure F4Diablo or someone else here can explain it to you in a suitable manner. Again this comment wasn't meant to offend you, I just trying to help out to prevent your team from getting penalty's later down the road.

I have a somewhat OK understanding of Spanish, I can try to fix translate errors if you guys have issues.
I think in every lobby one of your team has been in with me, I've tried to explain in Spanish to some extent.
