Long Beach Track Limits
Many different series at TORA use different rules for track limits for Long Beach and as such there have been questions regarding the general track limits and usage for the next meeting. This thread will show and explain what they are.
On appraoch into turn 1, cars must stay on the left side of the red line as the red lines denote the edge of the racing circuit. you are not allowed any tyres over the red line is not permitted.
Exiting pits:
The earliest point you can exit the pits is when the double blue lines meet the red line as shown below.
Part 2:
If there is traffic on it's way down to turn 1 when drivers exit the pits, you must stay to the right of the red line until it is clear to join the track up to the point shown below. You are allowed to accelerate to racing speeds while within the pit exit zone.
Drivers must be careful when approaching the roundabout area as it gets very narrow, the kerbing dictates the inside of the corner as shown below, no wheels up on the roundabout itself are permitted unless taking evasive actions.
For turns 4, taking no more than 2 pads is allowed, taking more will undoubtedly unsettle the vehicle anyway.
On the exit of turn 5 drivers are allowed to run past the red line and all the way up to the wall if needed.
Drivers must be careful when approaching turn 6 as it is vicious and may seriously unsettle the car. No more than 2 pads of cut is permitted, shown below is the more recommended line to avoid accidental contact with the outside wall.
Entering Pits:
Drivers must notify others when going for a pit and they should enter the pits using the blue blending line, darting in from the middle of the track is dangerous and prohibited.
Other corners that are not specifically mentioned in this guide should not be cut in any way, the standard 2 wheels on the kerbing at most as some of the pads beyond the kerbs are vicious and will cause the car to become very unsettled or worse.
Please post any questions you have below thank you, Mr Driv3
