Well this escalated quickly....

Something seems off with stint 1... There's no way I covered only about 600 feet more than Moshys when his stint included a pace lap and nothing particularly went wrong with mine in stint 2. He might've only done 3 pit stops or something.

ask anyone in my stint you want or even watch it come up on streams I did 4. maybe yours was taken down incorrectly

No, I took down the distances for GT in my stint. There's no possible way you're only 600 feet off one of my stints while running a pace lap.

Harmonic, at what time did your stint stop?

Was my disconnect taken into account? I posted in the other thread that I was running in 2nd in stint 1 before disconnecting, but recieved no explanation on any lagout award miles added.

To get to the point, if i'm not mistaken:

My stream shows I disconnected at 116miles. The lagout rule says that the my stint should be subtracted from our team's shortest non Dnf stint, 180.85 - 116 = 64.95. 116+(0.75  x 64.95) = 164.7125miles

180.89+180.85+164.71 = 526.45

@Europa if you take a look at the bottom of the rules, specifically item 16.4- lag out rule only applies to races at least 10 hours in length.

Ah my mistake. Thanks for clearing it up, however it kind of sucks as the rule is in place to encourage people to continue racing when our team really could have just not bothered continuing. I was running a very comfortable 2nd in stint 1 and closing on Turbyo at that stage.

Our 2 other drivers both completed most mileage in their respective stints and in stint 3 Vanquish and Nvirus had a brilliant battle in the closing stages when regardless of anything done by 2 drivers laggy forza servers ruin the result for the entire team making it almost pointless to continue. We still finished just about last in class; with all due respect, in my opinion the rule therefore isn't well implemented and we may as well have not continued at all, the same could be said for any team that experiences that situation and means that the rule is useless everywhere apart from Le Mans, Slightly ironic in that sense, considering it's supposed to encourage teams to continue by giving them something to play for, and we could've basically just given up there and then and got the same result.

The DSC was a forza issue and not my internet as I remained in the party chat while disconnecting. I'm using a wired connection with less than 10 ping to the rest of the uk and less than 80 ping to East US. 100+Mbps Down 15+ Mbps up speeds.

I know its one opinion from a new guy on the forums, but perhaps it's something that could look to be modified for the rest of the season? e.g. Lagout rule can only apply for one stint in 6hr races and 2/3 stints in a 24 hour race.

Just food for thought because I know how raw it feels to have a very good result snatched away and I wouldn't wish it upon any other team for the rest of the season. Only good things can come from constructive criticism of regulations, I'm just pointing out that the rule isn't really working as intended if its only valid for 1/6 races. Making each race a write off for a team following a DSC if its not Le Mans.

Other than that enjoyed taking part, competitiveness was very high. I wont be at spa, but I have EMR Defender making his debut in my place and I will be back for Le Mans

Stint 3 was quite bad, we lost Cain and Carlsons Both were on for great results too. At the end of the day, we all just hope Forza can fix its peer to peer connections, maybe if they're as serious about top tier racing as we all are, they will.

We've already hammered out the rule in the community about its appropriateness, extent and all that, not sure if you witnessed any of it! Hopefully Forza can sort everything out and we don't need a lag out rule.

However it is still only early days in a busy season and there is still potential to grab lots of points.

Will the live timing be updated to reflect the penalties?

This should be settled.
