The reason you haven't received your cars has nothing to do with TORA staff. They can't gift you cars, only T10 has that ability. Ben has been working feverishly the last few days to keep docs updated and the list of people to receive the car up to date.
However, Turn 10 had a PR event at Silverstone the last couple of days, which means most everyone's out of office. My estimate is the car requests will be fulfilled either today or tomorrow. Everyone should have about a week and change to get the car ready if they've already signed up. Considering the first track has 7 turns (Mugello Club), I think it's safe to say a week is plenty of time to get the tune sorted. If the livery isn't done for Round 1, just throw something quick and easy on there until the next race.

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
I agree F4H Diablo, I think it's just there seems to be lack of communication to members just to let them know the situation. It wasn't until I poked staff that I was finally made aware the car isn't for purchase, its gifted when you sign up. Now its unclear whether the entries have been sent and we're waiting for Turn 10, or if there might be a back log of entries yet to be submitted due to Matts holiday. If all entries are sent to T10, then thats out of hand and we'll have to just wait, but its unclear to those without cars if the latest entries have been sent yet.
Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
100%, it's not acceptable and other members of staff not named Matt, Ben, Mikey, and James need to fill in the gaps as needed.

I apologize for not being able to update everyone. My power was out last night so I was unable to update the list. I can confirm that the list of entries has been sent to Turn10, but I'm in the same boat as everyone else is waiting on Turn10. I'll be sending over the list from the last two days once I finish updating the entries.

Thanks for the update Ben.
I think for some it's been 5 days since their entry, maybe time to poke Turn 10. Is it Ian?

I'm totally new to this. How exactly am I supposed to get the 991? I don't see it anywhere.

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
After you have completed the signup, your information is sent to Turn10 who will then gift you the car in game. After you receive the gift message in game in your "message center", you can view the message Turn10 sends you and press the A button to download the car. It will then appear in your garage.BuckeyeSpenser wrote:I'm totally new to this. How exactly am I supposed to get the 991? I don't see it anywhere.

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
Apart from the fact that they are about a week behind now, so if you enter the series now, you probably wont get your car in time for the season opener at this rate
Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
Sorry to complain, and I tweeted as well, but this is getting a little bit worrisome. I entered the series Monday morning and I still have no car to test tune and paint before next weekend. ASAIK I saw that there were people who entered a couple of days before me and they hadn't received their car either, meaning the car gifting is now a week behind schedule.
Is it not time to nudge Turn10 saying that it's critical we have cars gifted soon as two thirds of the field have no car?

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
I would be interested to know out of the current 111 drivers registered who actually has the car as this is going to be a massive task to chase turn10 for this car unlock process ..... Just a suggestion as I know TORA staff are not responsible for this but maybe suggest to turn10 to release a game wide update which actually unlocks the car for all users instead of trying to message individuals and gifting the car?

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
No car here either which is a bit frustrating.
Poor show on both sides really, if TORA are going to organise a championship like this, they needed to make sure the car was available to everyone first. Now it's a complete mess, you have guys that have been testing for a while now and are ready to start, the rest of us can't even get the car. Now people are being asked to test, tune and paint the car for whole teams in what could be a matter of days, that's if they even send the car this week.

I've posted my tune in the lap times thread. Obviously it's not ideal but hopefully it can help some of you who are yet to receive the car once you do.

Same here, bit of a shame. Wasn't a smart decision to pick a car/series before knowing the car was available. Hindsight is 20/20 though.

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
I hope we get the car soon. Will use HaydieT's tune as a baseline, and I am working on the logos for my two team cars. Will slap them on the car once it gets here, but the hard work will have been done.

In all fairness... I don't think anyone was expecting Turn10 to have locked cars. Turn10 released a car list... no one ever said anything about the possibility of anything being locked. This series was announced before FM7 was released. Turn10 just really needs to unlock all of the cars. Whats the point of a racing game when you are going to lock the cars people want to drive?

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
For those complaining that we have set a series up with a locked car
(Diablo you should know better)
1) We communicated our 2017/18 season calendar to Turn 10 back in early August at their request I might add.
They knew exactly what we have planned for the upcoming year and no communication was made about locked cars.
2) As TORA staff have not been let in on additional information about the game prior to launch (we're not AR12 or YouTubers) we were unaware of the locked car situation as was the majority of the community. I made my concerns immediately clear to them.
3) Concerning this series in particular it was made abundantly clear to Turn 10 that it was essentially unacceptable to lock away cars that restricted community choice. After negotiation they agreed to support us by gifting the car out to entrants of the series.
Daily this list has been updated and set to Turn 10. Daily I have - whilst on holiday - made this available to them and followed up with links to this thread and continued to press on with my point that locking cars away is unacceptable.
All I can say is direct your frustrations at THEM. My staff and I are doing everything we can to make sure the community still has features we enjoyed only ONE game ago let alone our fond memories of Forza 4!
We are trying to be as constructive as we possibly can.
I understand your frustrations believe me! It is worse for us who try to produce brilliant racing - AS FANS I once again reiterate (we are not providing a service) - and are coming up against brick walls that should not exist.
Please try to remain constructive and patient.

Re: TORA Carrera Cup Winter Series - General Discussion
That's fair enough Matt again as I've said to other staff in regards to this issue your updates are very much appreciated.
As a keen racer as are us all we are worried that there simply is not enough time for everyone concerned to be ready in time.
I appreciate TORA is not a service and that you all as staff do an amazing job running these series for us all.
I would be interested to contact Turn10 directly if you had a port of contact for me myself to direct my frustration to whilst providing positive and (hopefully) constructive criticism.
I think for the majority we all have personal lives (Matt being on holiday for example) and trying to deal with this certainly starts to take the fun out of the whole thing slightly (correct me if I'm wrong) as you start to worry about whether you will even be competitive.
I think this is going to be a series to remember I just hope it's for the right reasons.
