Hoping to get these out latest early next week. Just finalising a few small details in GT3
Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Regarding the liveries, on the Aston GT3 the area on the bumper where the Driven logo is supposed to go is not paintable, should I just put the logo at the bottom of the Bonnet instead?

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Just wondering when we are getting the 2018 window banners and new mandatory stickers available or do we have to create our own as close as we can to them? Also are the windscreen numbers required as we can't apply decals on windows?

Some of us just know what we like and builds don't really matter to us... besides, not like you can't change your registration once the builds are out.FTR Bobby wrote:surely ya wanna know what cars are what before picking see what suits the driver best?

Is it at all possible to have a time that's a little friendlier to people passed europe. Not sure if you're aware but you guys have literally zero series accessible to people like me in GMT + 8 where you have us racing at 3am for ASCC and 2am for British GT. Im not asking a massive restructuring or anything but maybe if you could push the series to a time around 12pm GMT +1 or before that would be amazing, though i know you need to take other zones into consideration as well. IF nothing else is it at all possible to move it to saturdays, as that transfers to my sundays and lets people like me stay up late where it isnt affecting our weekday commitments.

It just sucks because both ASCC and BritishGT are inaccessible to me and a bunch of other people, when you become a global organisation you need to ensure that all of your constituents can have the greatest possibility of attending, ie. place the event on a saturday so those in time zones like GMT +12 (New Zealand), GMT + 8-10 (Australia) can race without always being at their worst in the middle of the night, not to mention the way they have it set up right now leaves a lot of people unable to compete because of work or college.
Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Main events like this have always been focused on the EU time evening slots.
That doesn't justify it but that's how it is been done around here. Yes it would be nice to have better US time slots or Australian slots. But I doubt it will happen for big series. Yes endurance series work out better.
But it's up to you to race here if the timeslots are not handy for you. If you want to make that sacrifice. Or go participate in a different series here. Like the US Hot Hatch Challenge.

These events have to be placed on days that do not interfere with other series, such as TASCAR which is currently running on a Saturday, or other events throughout the year which get scheduled on this day. It's not going to suit everyone, but we place these events where they will be most accessible to a large number of people. We can't cater to absolutely everyone sadly, but we do our best to ensure as many as possible are able to race. There will be more series coming up throughout the year that will run on more friendly days for you, but not everything is going to fit everyone.

I understand noodle and thanks for the response. I still can't help but feel that a somewhat better time for the series to run on sundays could be selected. For example, if the series ran at 12pm GMT, then the range of times competing would be from 12am on Monday morning at GMT +12 to 12am on a sunday morning in GMT -12, which while still not ideal for those in the timezones closer to those extremes would be feasible as the monday racers wouldn't have to worry about staying up too late before work / college the next day and the sunday racers could stay up a bit later because, well, it's sunday. Just a suggestion, i understand if it clashes with another event on that day (which i don't think it does though i may be wrong), but if the race had to be held on a sunday shifting the time to be a little earlier would be the time which will "be accessible to the largest number of people", which of course is your goal here isn't it. Biggest issue for me again is not necessarily the date but the time, so that's my suggestion.
Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
The current time slot for the series accomodates Americans and Europeans because Sunday at noon/afternoon is the time Americans will be racing no matter which region or time zone and Europeans race sometime Sunday night. Hawaiians can probably make the race too as it is in the morning for them. Given how many racers the current time slot accomodates, how many TORA racers are from Europe or North/South America, and how many are far East, the current time slot makes the most sense. Accomodating people in or near Australia would mean making the timing inconvenient for most of the racers competing. The only adjustment I personally would see beneficial is making the race a couple hours earlier so that Europeans don't have to stay up so late on a Sunday night, given that Americans will still be waking up at a reasonable hour to start the race.

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I understand that, I just don't think it's particularly fair that people such as myself, potentially AMS Shagga, JSR Craviator, and not to mention racers in Korea, Japan, etc, the entirety of Asia Pacicif should be asked to re-orient our schedule and wreck our sleep patterns because it's convenient for people in the US and Europe, at least not in every single series. I understand how it can be an issue during the week but it's a Sunday for God's sake.

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
I'm not contesting that all competitions be re arranged, I'd just love the chance to actually compete in one for a change rather than only be able to race with Tora the 3 times they run a 12 hour event

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
Unfortunately I dont think BGT will be changing the start time. Its at a time that works for 90% of the competitors. Im sure there are other event organizers that have races better suited to your time zone.

It sucks that the time doesn't suit you but you are not being asked to do anything. A timeslot is never going to be suitable for everyone, that's just how it is. You mention all these racers in the pacific but what kind of percentage of users are from this region? I'm sure there aren't many. Got to cater to the masses.

Re: British GT esports Championship - GENERAL DISCUSSION
BGT should run in whatever time best suits Britain, as that is the whole point of this series.
There's been a couple series set to AU/US time (Fridays at 6PM US EST/Saturdays at 9AM AU) and there's more in the works for that timeslot in coming months when our Staff can get the time to properly run it.
