RACE PRO NEWS

Because of the of the future release of RACE PRO ,the GRID Open Wheel Championship will be replaced by Various RACE PRO support series which will potentially include the Formula BMW (Open wheel)series,Radicals and WTCC.I'll be announcing details after the game is released and I've had time to sort out the details.Watch this space.

I reckon there should only be one Race Pro series, mainly because you will be able to select any track for any class most likely.

We will see what happens when the game is out. It is impossible to know the limitations of the game at this stage.

Where did you here this? I've checked the Atari Website and the Game Website and they all still say 14/11/08.

Ok ,I've found a couple of sites that say Atari have announced the Release will be Jan 09.It' funny that the Atari site doesn't say this .

On a positive note they say there will be an online Demo out soon,so if the rumours are true we'll have to wait till January.If the Demo is any good I might set up a Pre-season test Race so we can all have a go !!

demos dont come out tell lass than 1 month till release. I would expect a demo early next year and release in Q1 (jan-march). remember Forza 3 is hoping to come out in Q2 (maybe summer) 2009!

The problem we have here is that some unofficial sites are saying the game will be released in Jan and are also saying that there will be a pre christmas Demo.This contadicts what the official sites are saying.Sadly we are in the hands of the gaming Gods on this one,we'll just have to wait and see.

I've seen a few demos come out a lot longer than a month before the game is released. Same goes for demos of games coming out after its been released lol

Right ,I've just had a conversation with my good friend James in GAME.He has confirmed it will be released in January next year as A major post Christmas title .The good news is that There will be an Online Demo released the second week of November to tie in with ,what would have been the official launch date.He said that from what he's seen of the game it looks Amazing !

As i said, if its anything like GTR Evo then its going to be made of pure awesomeness

lols please do not think the peeps who work in GAME are insiders! He has seen just as much as everyone else! GAME employees are privy no internal information, nevermind sneek peeks at games that are 6 months out!

Yeah, beg to differ, but I used to be a Game manager too. They used to fly us to conferences where we get all the info direct from the publishers and developers on the latest games and even got to try them out. I played Call Of Duty 3 and Gears of War months before release at the last one I went to before I left them.

Plus we got loads of info from reps, insider magazines, weekly updated release schedules etc.

So pass comment after you are in possesion of the facts.

Currently I am an Entertainment Department manager for Tesco. We still get access to a lot of stuff not available to the public, along with lots of reps and stuff, although nowhere near the depth of what we used to get in Game.

Whoa ..guys.!....calm down ...calm down .. ...I didn't want to start a tug of war here.The Facts are that sadly we'll have to wait until January for the game. .But on an up note we Should have a Demo in November and by the time the game comes out we should have a fairly good idea of the content..Tracks,cars ,settings,etc.One thing James did say ,was that the Rep from Simbin told him, and i quote ' This is what serious racing gamers have been waiting for !'.

According to the Atari.com site,Race Pro won't b released until the 27th of January.

looks good. any idea how many people can race at a time online?

There saying 12 online,thats why the game runs at 50 Hz not 60 Hz like Forza.I would have thought that everyone would need a rock solid connection for that amount of people. Sounds good though.

This weekend comming there is a big Xbox Live event to promote the new dashboard.And apparentlythere will loads of free stuff and new Demos released. Maybe the Race Pro Demo ?? We'll have to see.
