Is there somewhere where the sign in deadline is specified? All the TCC rules and regs thread says is 'Where necessary, if each competitor could post "In" in the relevant race meeting thread on the TORA forums. Anyone who wishes to race without posting "In" will need to wait the race meeting organizers confirmation before being allowed to race.' Seems harsh to exclude the three (or rather four) of us when it's the first week and it's an honest mistake. When did sign in close anyway?

Good point Soncie, that is in the rules and regs.

It also implies a certain amount of discretion will be used - which brings me back to the "it's the first week / honest mistake" bit.

Where does it state that this sign in sheet closes at ???pm? I can't find it anywhere and the rules and regs don't state that there is a Google Docs sign in sheet, just that one needs to sign "IN" in the Sign In thread, which I did. I f you could direct me to where it says the sign in sheet closes at a particular time that would be great, thanks.

But where in the TCC threads does it state this? Cos it doesn't state that even on the form itself and it doesn't state that in the Rules thread. In fact the Rules even allow for discretion to be used by lobby hosts.

Ah just spotted it above the sign in form itself. Doesn't explain why the regs imply discretion will be used though (and we were only 6 minutes late). To be honest such inflexibility puts me off taking part - series over before it even began.

It's something that probably should be in a bigger font and also tucked into the rules.

This week is an odd one because the normal series organizer has had an emergency, and others are stepping in to help out as they can. If I were you, I'd race next week and the remainder of the series. It's just a case this week where the staff is suddenly under-manned and therefore, that normal flexibility isn't there. At this point you've got folks remotely logging in to update docs and set things up that aren't even racing in the series. Next week should be a return to normal Smile

Thanks for the calm and reasonable reply 🙂. I hope it is understood that I was questioning the interpretation of the rules rather than having a go at any individual. I recognise that Mikey had an emergency to deal with (I hope everything is ok by the way) and appreciate that others kindly stepped in to help out. My frustration was largely because I can't make one of the other dates so missing out on the first week as well has a greater effect overall for me. I'll be racing this week - already signed in...

You never registered for TCC.
You are however registered and signed in for NATCC.
Please make sure you haven't clicked on the wrong thread.
Otherwise if you wish to race in TCC please register and then sign in.
