Round 1 Brands Hatch Indy: Driver's Briefing

Mikey will be out tonight and Ben will likely be out as well, and there are a few familiar hosts that will also be out tonight.

For that reason, I've been called in to help out with those Marshals who will be in attendance tonight.

There's close to 70 people signed in for tonight, and more potentially as today progresses. We'll be trying to get the race night done as efficiently as possible, but don't be surprised if it takes a little longer than usual. It is Round 1 of a series after all.

Here's what YOU can do to help admins out for tonight (and all nights, really)

1. Have your XBL profile "appear online".
2. Be on time. Everyone should be online and ready to go 15 min prior to qualifying. Lobbies will roll at 9:00pm EST with or without you.
3. If you get to say 8:50-8:55 and you don't have an invite, reach out to a race marshal and/or staff member. Do NOT wait until qualifying has already started - it's too late at that point. SFM Darkzer is the point of contact as a staff member if you haven't received an invite tonight - it could be game or host related, but if you neglect to tell anyone before qualifying, it's on you.
4. The Live Timing screen will show you who's in what lobby, and who the host is. If you see someone you know in the same lobby and they're already in said lobby, join them rather than wait for an invite. It speeds up the whole process.
5. Should be the first thing you do when signing up for a series but, make sure you're familiar with the rules. Be familiar with qualifying and race format, the grid orders, etc.
Bonus: Something that's come up in previous races is restart rules. Here's some scenarios
- A driver lags out in the loading screen - Return to lobby, try again (doesn't count as a restart)
- A driver sim twitches and wrecks their car on the parade lap - That person can pit, but they must start from the end of pit lane, taking off only after everyone else has gone by.
- 1-2 drivers wreck and get full damage on lap 1 - Race proceeds
- 3 or more drivers wreck on the first lap AND get 100% damage - Lobby restart (Counts as one of 3 "starts). If less than 3 people get 100% damage, the race proceeds.
