2019 Iron Banter

Welcome to the next evolution of the popular Iron Series

As you may have noticed for 2019 we have replaced the term "American" with "Vintage", as we have balanced some German, British, Italian and Australian cars into the mix of Muscle Cars. Don't worry, as your favorite classic American Muscle cars are still available.

In addition, we'll be visiting some epic European venues in addition to the return to some American favorites. Hope you enjoy the challenges that the mix of circuits on the 2019 Series Calendar has to offer.

Gonna be a fun series, the cars are a ton of fun to drive!

I should have an Open Test lobby up tomorrow, near 9PM UK and one near 8PM EDT. We'll hit a couple mock Q sessions on each track on the schedule for each session.

Heard UK was a bit memey, US time slot was mostly fine, a little drama but mostly fair. Next week might be interesting at the Bugatti circuit lol

PSA: If you're going to constantly drive across the nose of the car behind you, don't complain when you get spun. This Happened several times at Road Atlanta, and it took a lot of disclipline not to send them into the weeds.

Next time, the trailing car might not be so patient while you're busy playing Russian Roulette.

The first few laps we're rough. A couple of times someone had clipped the tire wall coming out of the final turn and spun out. It was hard to dodge the car carrying momentum through there. I hit 2 cars on 2 different occasions. I apologise, I tried stopping in time and/or swerving but it wasn't enough.

The rest of the race was fun and I had a pretty epic battle for 6th place with bubz??? Looking forward to next week.

The beginning of races can be chaotic, so I wouldn't feel too badly about it. No blood, no foul. No, my anger was during the middle of the race after things settled. But the race is over, on to Catalunya.

True. It's been that way since I started this league stuff back in 2008. First couple of laps can be rough. I just didn't want those guys thinking I was doing the old hopper plow through. Lol.

I didn't have any issues with you, but I was sort of in the back and trying to fight my way forward. With a car down 10 mph on the straight, had to be very assertive to not lose the position later in the lap.

I struggled big time last night.. I think I was pushing the car too hard. After 5 or so laps, everyone got into the rhythm of things. I made some small mistakes here & there..

Just under halfway through, we were having a 4 car battle for whatever mid-pack position. I binned it HARD coming onto the Front Straight.... right into the tire wall... sending me spinning back onto the track. You can just imagine what happened LOL. Sorry guys

Anyways, had a fantastic battle with Boost GLR right at the end. Really made up for my crappy performance earlier. Looking forward to Catalunya National next Thursday!!

This week's FM7 patch evidently "fixed" the damage glitch that has seen us use "Fuel and Tires" this season instead of Sim damage.
