Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing
Announcement
===========
Due to (not the credit crunch cos everyone else has used that one!) not liking the way the rear wing looks on the cars roof, sbiggs360 has dropped the Ford Focus ST as his teams top choice of racing automobile and has chosen the Nissan Sentra for the third season of the TORA TCC, it what will be the teams debut season. Metcheck.com were not happy with this decision and pulled their sponsorship from the team, even though team owner sbiggs360 explained to them that "surely a quicker car for the team, is better for the website.
Sponsorship now comes richly from Sony Ericsson, adding to sbiggs360's TCC outfit along with his TORA GT assault. This bigger sponsorship signing means that the team have the funding to run two Sentras for this season, but only have to one driver, and therefore are looking for an extra driver for this season.
sbiggs360 explains "Although lots of testing has gone on, I'm still not expecting the top points positions. The start of the season will just to see how things fair out, and just enjoy the close racing expected. Therefore, should a driver want to join Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing, driver ability will not be top priority, although will help."

Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing are the first team for this coming season to reveal exclusive pictures of their contender. Although they stole most of the vinyls when on a pit road walkabout from the Nissan garage from the 1999 BTCC season, their sponsorship comes rich from Sony Ericsson.
Still looking for drivers to join, the team hopes that releasing picture might tempt drivers to sign up.

Watch the debut race of the Sony Ericsson Racing Team's Sentra!
sbiggs360 of the Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing Team will make the teams pre-season debut race tonight in the Silver B tournament! Not sporting the #40 he will use in the Tora TCC championship, instead he shall be using TORA advertising in the next few days of racing during this tournament, to promote the community.
Tonight at 9.30pm will be the first race in the short series held at Road Atlanta, and you can watch sbiggs360's progress (or failure), either through selecting the B class tournament silver (race 6), or possibly through ForzaTV.

Re: Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing
After many many problems with the shipping of the 2009 Sentra to Sgt JigglyMoobs, finally both SE Nissan Racing drivers have their cars, testing them out and loving it! Having a test drive around Suzuka, new signing Sgt JigglyMoobs described the car as "to his style" and both driver will undertake some serious testing soon. The hunt still goes on for a third driver, although they are in talks with some possibles. If you wish to join Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing, reply in this news feed.

Re: Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing
Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing has just signed a third driver, completing its lineup for this coming season, one day before the media day at Sunset Peninsula.
Aero Live, also new to the Championship this season, will be competing in the #80 Nissan, and is a welcome addition to the team.

Media Day Report
Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing team manager sbiggs360 stated earlier today that he was much pleased with the performance of his Sentra at the recent media day held at Sunset Peninsula. He claimed that he would would be taking this season alot more seriously than when he first signed up for the championship earlier this year.
"We now have three drivers on board for the season, and we are throwing alot more of our budget at improving the car. The test at Sunset proved very successful, with myself in A Lobby for the first and second races, and not finishing last. Aero Live also managed to qualify for the A Lobby for the third race, although due to technical problems we couldn't get any of our cars on the grid to start the third race.
From the results of the media day, we fully expect our season to start well with 2, if not all 3 of or team to qualify in either lobby A or B for the first few meetings.
We will try all we can to go for a championship win, but believe that the Minis are too far ahead. We would be surprised if they didn't finish 1,2,3 at nearly every race they have so long as they don't get punted off. They seem to be 1 second quicker every minute than all the other teams, and that doesn't seem achievable at all with the Sentra."
sbiggs360 and Aero Live will make the first meeting next tuesday at Mugello, with Sgt. JigglyMoobs entering the season slightly later.

Re: Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. The car certainly seems to be handling nicely now that the guys back at the factory have hit their stride. The team is definitely heading in the right direction. I'm looking forward to the first race of the season next week and hope to put in a good performance for the fans.

Re: Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing
NEWS
====
Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing have just announced news that it will be selling a customer car to the highest bidder to both help the team testing budget, and also a fellow competitor who might be struggling with getting a car set-up competitively. The highest bidder for the car will receive the Sentra, and be able to test with the team themselves throughout the season, but essentially the Sentra will not be part of the Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing team.
Mugello Report
===========
Much testing took place before the season opener, and although the speed of the Sentra's were favourable, the results weren't.
sbiggs360
-------------
Qualified into Lobby A which is really promising, but due to the way the points are awarded, especially the third race, sbiggs starts the championship 10th in the table.
Aero Live
------------
A mistake in qualifying took Aero Live to Lobby B, and from there the problems continued. Accidents in nearly every race produced low points scores. Not happy with the results, but looking forward to the next meeting.
Sgt. JigglyMoobs
--------------------
Wasn't able to race at Mugello, but will hopefully be at the second meeting.
Re: Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing
Speculation erupted last night with rumours of Sony Ericsson Nissan Racing driver, Sgt. JigglyMoobs, apparently testing with Toyota, with possible intention to leave the Nissan team and begin a privateer team.
sbiggs360 commented
"Its mainly a matter of respect. JigglyMoobs hasn't raced for the team so far this season, but approaching the second meeting he hasn't be appearing to testing sessions and has been spotted testing a Toyota Altezza. My team works with 100% commitment to the team and I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel I've provided a competitive car with lots of testing to try improve its performance. To hear he doesn't seem committed and is leaving his options open without telling the team is a bit of a kick in the teeth.
If he wants to continue with the team, he is welcome. If he tells me he's planning to breakaway from the team to run a Toyota, I'll wish him all the luck. If he continues to test the Toyota with intention to possibly leaving the team, he won't be driving for us much longer, and I'll seek to employ a new driver who is commited."
