17th June - New driver signing could be revealed this week
J.Wynder today revealed to the press, that PK Carsport have offered a team contract to a 3rd driver. Which might be revealed in the coming days, but when asked about the driver.
This is what Jamie had to say:
"While I do not want to reveal the driver's name, I can reveal the driver can do well for the team. But only if he signs for PK Carsport"

PK Carsport with THR can announce the final driver in the team is The Slim Stoner.
Re: PK Carsport with THR
jenson09 took the PK Carsport team to the Nordschleife enduro alongslide three other GT1 runners and 4 LMP1's.
While only 14 laps were completed the team finished in fourth place and jenson was satisfied with the behaviour of the car.
"I feel we got some valuale data today, the car felt good and I think we're heading in the right directio."
"I must give a huge shoutout to Brnout Jersey and AJZero for pushing on with the race and while the car stopped on track I remained at the circuit to follow their progress. I certainly couldn't have done it. I simply don't have the patience with that track! So congrats to them. They're either very committed or very insane!"
PK Carsport will now return to America to continue its test programme

is that the logo over the rear wheel arch? I saw it in the race replay and it looked very complex, lol My Matmut logo probably took about 35 minutes to make, but I'm very proud of it haha

Yeah thats the one. I did it large first and it really is a lil guy driving a kart!
Realy pleased with it though.
Rest of the car probs took about an hour in total, but that one logo took the most hehe.

Re: PK Carsport with THR
PK Carsport's jenson09 spoke to the media about his hopes for the coming season and what Le Mans means to him:
So jenson, you're entering the fray with now a pair of Corvettes under the PK Carsport banner. How did that come about?
In all honesy it was luck! I have had a Corvette in development since the Petit Le Mans race a few months ago and had been planning to use it in some form again.
When the TLMS was conceived I knew instantly I had a strong(ish) car I could use so jumped at the chance.
The PK Carsport thing came about because it's a paint I've wanted to do for a while now and the SRT one had moved away from what I liked.
After several hours it came together and I'm really pleased with it.
So the car is in effect a detuned version of that Z06 you used before?
That's correct yes
What about your team mates?
Well I took TVR on as he's a known element to me being a driver for SMRC. He has since moved up to the LMP1 class so I wish him luck with that.
My other driver is Slim Stoner. He's a class act this season and has notched up several really good results in the GTC. I jumped at the chance to have him on board.
How are preparations going with the ahead of the first race?
Um.. not as well as we'd hoped. The car has needed work and Slim has yet to take delivery of his due to complications on my side. There has been sufficient testing undertaken to make me feel we have a good car with us. Granted we're not going to be fastest. But that's not what this form of racing is about. I feel we have two steady drivers that can keep the cars out of trouble throughout the race and pick up some good results.
Who are you worried about on the grid?
Well once Butcher decides what class he's in I'll be either more or less worried!
If he's in GT1 then sod it, any chances of a win are gone. If he's in GT2, then it's better for my class hopes but then I could just as easily be overtaken by him in a lower spec car!
Other than him, also got to consider the rest of the M&M boys who are just silly fast and probably anyone in an MC12!
Aspirations for Sebring?
Well top five in class would be great. From either car really. But top five overall would be even better!

Re: PK Carsport with THR
PK Carsport's Slim Stoner was spotted doing some private testing at a closed track. He has been very quiet recently after signing for the PK Carsport Le Mans team.
We took this oppurtunity to grab a quick word with the driver...
It has come to our attention that you have kept very quiet these past few days, is their any particular reason for this?
I have been very busy these past few days, iv'e been working with the mechanics to get comfortable with the car for the 1st meeting at Sebring. I'm fairly happy with the cars build at the moment, though theirs always room for improvement.
Is their any reason why you dont have the paint applied to the car?
I dont want such a good piece of art getting damaged now do i... but you will see it applied in due course.
How Confident are you for this season? Do you expect to be fighting for the Championship?
I think its a bit early to be asking questions like that to be honest, but i am enjoying driving the car, i have a great team working closely with me and im looking forward to the 1st race.
(Slim puts his helmet back on... and is about to climb in the car)
Time for one more quick question?
I have a quick car to drive and a track all to my self... so what do you think

Re: PK Carsport with THR
PK Carsport can confirm that sbiggs will be making the switch from Austins to the team.
The main reason for this was to allow Austins Motorsport to concentrate on the Ford GT's while it made sense for biggs in his Corvette to join the sole Corvette based team.
The team welcomes his additions and looks forward to Sebring, now but a week away!

i very much look forward to testing and racing with the team. Austins Motorsport owner Dan 2605 understood the reasons behind the switch over and is happy for me to be part of the PK Carsport team. I thank Dan for the support he gave me, and wish his team luck in the coming races.

Re: PK Carsport with THR
It still looks good after a shedload of driving and dirt has caked it.
Looking forward to seeing how high Slim can get in the race tomorrow. Suffice to say I WILL be the rear gunner

Re: PK Carsport with THR
Ok news update ahead of Silverstone.
jenson09 has been invited to do a one off race for the Pescarolo Sport team in their 908.
Leaping at the chance to race the prototype he enjoyed so much during the GPC series jenson said:
"It's a great opportunity to be at the sharp end of the grid in the TLMS. I only hope my race goes better than the GPC one!"
Slim will continue the push for PKC THR with jenson09 returning for the next round.
