MB Motorsport LMS News Feed
Apologies from the team for not updating the page, however, with the recent sucesses of the team and it increasing its series entered, forgeting the media hype could be excused. The team managed to make the first round of the TORA LMS, however only Sgt JigglyMoobs could make it across the pond and to the Sebring raceway. Fellow team mate was called away last minuite to a family event and was very upset to miss the opener. Sgt JigglyMoobs fought hard in a small but tight GT3 class and finished last, however still got a podium! And earned valuable points.
Then it was a long journey back home to Silverstone, and on much more familiar turf/tarmac, both drivers felt confident throughout practice, satisfied with the cars durability despite its apparent lack of speed which has become known of the car. GT3 was a smaller field again for round two with only 5 cars starting the race itself. Quallifying was troublesome for both drivers as they suffered to generate enoguh heat in the tyres and only just managed to get a fast lap in, with racelegend MB1 beating his team mate by 0.5 seconds, setting his time on the final lap! Sgt JigglyMoobs managed to hold position on the roling start, whereas racelegend MB1 lost ground to the fast starting GT4 cars. Howver by the end of the first pit stops the pair were 4th and 5th in class with Sgt JiggyMoobs enjoying his early advantage. However it soon became apparent something hadnt gone right in practice as Sgt JigglyMoobs was struggling to managed his tyres, forcing him to pit several laps earlier than his team mate. Both driver were running well and with the retirements of Chucky1982 early on and Racer Mann in GT4 towards the end, leaving an open road for the pair the team looked set for a 4th and 5th in class (2nd and 3rd in lobby) behind the unstopable sbiggs360; who was coming round to lap racelegend MB1. He managed to keep him at bay, posting faster laptimes to mantain the gap, and as they headed to the pinultimate lap as the clock hit 1hr 30, Sbiggs360 announced he was out of fuel! Both drivers the pushed to the line and managed to pass the slow moving driver as he rolled into pit lane. The pair were very pleased with their 1,2 in lobby and 3rd and 4th in class, with Sgt JigglyMoobs getting his first 'earned' podium in the LMS!

Re: MB Motorsport with Quicklight
I have been passed on some information from Jenson, informing my team mate Sgt JigglyMoobs, that due to END combatspace's change of name, class and car (which wasnt updated on live timing) that Sgt JigglyMoobs and myself finished 2nd and 3rd in class repectively.
Therefore there is a big champagne moment going on in the team HQ as they celebrate the team having both drivers on the podium! Both drivers wish to pass on their thanks to the organisers and hope to expect more great results.

thanks it means a lot to the guys. whod have thought it, us two rookies!
Epic Radio LeMans 500 race report.
MB Motorsport Radio LeMans 500 race report
Yesterdays Radio LeMans 500 at Road America was a fantastic race for the team. Qualifying went well with racelegend MB1 finding a late setup providing valuable seconds as he set consistent low 2.10. leading to an excellent 2.09.7 which saw him start second alongside team mate Sgt JigglyMoobs who managed a one flying lap qualifying to see him achieve a low 2.09.
The team were positive for the race with an all MB Motorsport front row, and Jiggly made good use of this opportunity, however racelegend struggled of the line, losing ground to Nicky F1 down into the first corner. Nicky manages to get the inside line, forcing racelegend wide on to the grass, allowing Sbiggs360 to get pass. Mid way through lap 1 Nicky and Sbiggs tangle seeing the pair spin off onto the grass, allowing racelegend MB1 to regain second. However this was to be short lived as the Viper of Sbiggs was catching fast, as Sgt JigglyMoobs extended his lead. MB1 held off Sbiggs for a few laps, until Sbiggs360 drove around the outside of him under the 'Snap-on bridge' due to MB1 losing traction and ground out of the previous corner. Despite best efforts, racelegend couldn't keep up with the Viper and slipped back into the clutches of Nicky F1, whilst his teamate saw his lead cut by 2.5 seconds to Sbiggs. Eventually a mistake by racelegend saw Nicky pull alongside down the pit-straight and managed to hold the inside line as Nicky out-breaked himself and ran wide. The pair battled it out over the next few laps, creating some of the closest racing seen by the grid and certainly the team in the TLMS. The pair diced it out in the first corner each lap and also through the 'Kink' and the tight left handers at the bottom of the hills, creating tense action that put each driver in peril.
By lap 12 it was racelegend who prevailed due to a Nicky spin through the 'kink' which saw him meet the wall as racelegend flew by and begin to build a gap. Sbiggs360 continued to hunt down Sgt JigglyMoobs and on lap 14 the pair made there first stop, with Jiggly just catching the barrier on the way in. Racelegend MB1 followed later that lap as the cars were struggling for fuel economy, and just managed to reach the 30 minutes mark and maintain pit strategy. Whilst Nicky F1 regained third place until he made his stop two laps later.
CK Brenneke, who started 6th, failed to make an impact on the race in his M3 E92, and retired on lap 17 with technical issues. Sgt JigglyMoobs, who was being caught by the Viper of Sbiggs by a couple of 100ths a lap, also retired 3 laps later with an electrical issue which the team are yet un-able to confirm. This raised doubts in team boss and remaining driver racelegend MB1 over the reliability of the Ferrari, as he contemplated the loss of an excellent driver who was having the race of his life in the under-rated Ferrari F430. This left the Biggs Motorsport Viper to inherit a 40-odd second lead over the remaining MB Motorsport car which was maintaining a 11 second lead over Nicky's VX220 with all of them nipping a second out of each other each lap to hold the same gap for the remainder of the stint. This also meant that all the drivers were now guaranteed podium honours in GT3 releasing some pressure of racelegend MB1.
The second round of stops begun on lap 28 with Sbiggs making the first stop and then racelegend and Nicky following on the next lap. Both driver fighting for the second place on the podium were concerned about fuel, especially racelegend who had to sacrifice his lead for some economical, early shifting, driving that allowed him to make the finish. Nicky F1 fought him to the death and managed to squeeze by with 4 laps left as racelegend put it in the barrier after dropping a wheel on the grass coming out of the tight right hander. Despite his best efforts he could not regain second and finished about 1.5 seconds behind Nicky as Sbiggs brought home the win over 50 seconds ahead of the rest of the pack and 43 laps in the bag.

MB Motorsport LMS News Feed
MB Motorsport have been negotiating though the night to clinch a deal for a third driver at the final race of the season at 'the ring'. Nicky F1 has pledged his support to the team and will be running a research and design project Panoz Esperante. This will allow valuable information to be collated on the car for possible further applications.
This is a positive move all round and one which should help the team secure third place in GT3 for the teams championship. Everyone is looking forward to what should be a good round!

Re: MB Motorsport with Quicklight
Ahhhh the sun rises over the Nurburgring, the Panoz is looking mean and running some quick times around the famous North Loop, yesterday I got the car to run 185mph+ in the section after the flugplatz, and it STILL went round that corner over the crest, and its a dream through the Hatzenbach! This car is definetaly capable of getting into the 7:20's, its a dream to drive, thanks to the boys at MBM for getting me a ride in the final race. I'm going out FOR THE WIN!

Driver Blog: Nicky Plunkett
I've had wins before, but this was special, it all started when Toby suggested driving a Durex sponsored Panoz Esperante for MBM while I was testing a Viper. I jumped at the chance And ended up with the best race car I have ever had under me, the thing was pure drama to drive around the infamous north loop, it had so much grunt available, on-demand, to my right foot, you have to corress the throttle pedal ont he exits of corners and it just blasts away, and keeps going, banging up the 'box all the way up to 186mph just after the double apex right hander after the Flugplatz, then take the left foot over from the foot rest and ease it on as the right foot eases off, then take both feet off as the car looses its weight over the brow on the left hander and floats to the other side of the track. Then you just floor the thing, and it moves with rapid progress. A joy to drive, and a great dominant win for MBM, thanks guys!
Nicky!

MB Motorsport LMS Race Report
As the sun sets on the final round of the series on the Nordschleife circuit, we look back at the race. So to begin, what a race! 14 laps of the ring saw the GT3 class end its dramatic and tortured in just over an hour and a half. MB Motorsport had drafted in star driver Nicky F1, who lived up to his name, delivering a true F1 performance winning the class for MB Motorsport. Racelegend MB1 made another poor start, loosing ground to the comeptition after a strong qualifying performance, getting tangled with the GT2 cars, meanwhile Sgt JigglyMoobs stormed through the field, passing britracer to make a MB one-two, with Nicky seconds up the road. Racelegend continued to drop back as he strugled with a lack of concentration that left him running wide on to the grass in several occasions.
Eventually Sgt Jigglymoobs had to make way for the faster GT2 car of britracer but managed to hold with him until the first round of pitstops. As the two battled they lost ground to Nicky who extended his lead and BRM Sbiggs, who had already been crowned champion in GT3, caught the pair. GT3 driver Culchi ran out of fuel as he past the pit, pushing for an extra lap and was forced to retire, promoting racelegend MB1 by one place in the overall standings.
The field stabilised over the next few laps as BRM Sbiggs jumped Sgt Jiggly and britracer, who eventually was overtaken by Sgt Jigglymoobs. The ending was highlt dramatic with all the field running short on fuel to make the last lap, racelegend MB1 and nicky F1 made stops as the could afford to and so did the majority of the field. However Sgt JigglyMoobs thought he would have enough, but was looking more unlikely to finish as the lap progressed, after much tension he eventually cruised across the line to snatch third, Nicky F1 cruised to victory in his new Panoz Esperante Gt3 prototype.
The result ensured MB Motorsport secured third in the teams championship in GT3 and fell just short of snatching second. Racelegend MB1 was piped to the post by Nicky F1 for third in the drivers championship. A full season review will follow over the following week.
