Le Mans 24 Hours 2010
Is there anyone from the forums that attends the big event, or have thought of attending next year.
I used to attend regularly, and should be going next year. If your thinking of going, I go with a club that provides really good hospitality called "Club Valan"
There package is a friendly place to pitch a tent, breakfast lunch and dinner provided if needed, showers, toilet and its only a short walk from the circuit itself!!
The package for last year included the campsite plus the ticket for £270 per person.

good point. well, this campsite sells out quickly, looking at booking before xmas to get in, otherwise there are numerous times to meetup i would recommend. if you want to do this i can give the advice on when and how to travel, what there is to see and do over the 5 days to get the best experience!

the thing is, Sarthe is I ginormous track so you'd only be able to see one or two corners- doesn't it get boring if you can only see one corner and that's it? I heard that at valencia you can see the whole track from any point in the stands

I can assure you, a trip to Le Mans will NOT be boring, espeicialy if you wander into some Dutch tents
The sounds of the cars, the atmosphere, the emotion at the finnish! You will not be bored.
Anyway, I shall hopefully be at LM in 2011 when I can drive! Next year im doing T in the Park with some mates, so that should be fun!

Re: Le Mans 24 Hours 2010
thing is you have 24 hours to see different bits. from the porsche curves to from the start of the mulsanne is one big spectator area, and there are a few HUGE tvs so you can what eurosport would see, minus adverts. This is recommended for the start and finish of the race. There are many bus tours which last 3 hours on the sat evening which will take you to different areas of the track. You pick it up from the main specator area, and get to stay at indianpolis and arnage for just over an hour, and then the end of the mulsanne for about 45mins.
Point being made is the track is over 8 miles, so to see the whole track would be quite impressive. Besides that, watching any race constantly for 24 hours is boring, but the night life and many things to do will keep you entertained. To be honest, the atmosphere and spirit is much more of the experience than the race. You only know whos winning in the first and last 2 hours!
