Red light! - im out!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! bloody xbox. its been fina ll day i went out for two hours came back turned it on and i got an E74 bottom left red light!

Been on internet and checked my waranty and it bloody ran out on 2/10/2009 (UK) so thats just pure fixed in so it goes bust after three years.

Not been affected by red light before so whats the best solution that is quick and relatively cheap (although money is no issue)

im not waiting 6-8 weeks cos there is a whole 2010 calender to prepare.

yeah but then if it breaks again, they wont repair it. at least thats what i heard

nah its an e74. i think im just guna get a preowned arcade, refit my hard drive and then sell the cables etc. 99 quid nad i should get some back. then i might send my console away for repair, seems cheapest and quickist option.

but the E74 error is different form the RRoD so dunno if towel trick would work

nah it wont. e74 is hardware. im not doing towel. it only works for a while so its pointless. nah im just guna do as said and buy a new preowned one and then sell all the spares.

E74 repairs are free mate.

but he doesnt want to wait for the repairs

i remember the december the Motegi Car & Track pack that was due out the first week, my xbox RRoD'ed the SUNDAY just b4 the DLC release. turned out the xbox couldnt read the HDD. i was on the phone with the tech support guy trying to turn the system on with and without the HDD plugged in. i sent it out as soon as i got the 'coffin', and got a 'refurb' unit back b4 the christmas weekend. those 2 weeks or so i was out of an xbox, i resorted to playing Warhawk on the PS3. i never thought i wouldve had fun with a war themed game (maybe it was cuz its a 3rd person game)

E74 is an a/v failure of some sort. not too sure

E74 is free and quick, get it couriered asap. mine was back in under two weeks. In the mean time, if you can drive to west london I could loan you my spare?

na e74. i havnt got waranty. besides its suposed to be 8 weeks. i might do but i think il get one anyway and sell my repair.

Its free out of warranty. Mines was, and I got it back within 2 weeks.

can i just say, magitap WAT A LEGEND. i honestly think he cud be the nicest guy on TORA i mean there is no way in hell i would lend a competitor my spare xbox (if i had one) I LOVE THIS GUY !!!
