None of the XTI staff member other than Founder Apache, CEO Nightrider, and Chief tester XTI Avenger know what is going on in this dark corner. However, AJZero unknowingly revealed the plans early when he said

Petronas XTI Racing and XTI Avenger have been given dispensation to bypass Articles 3.3.3.c and 2.2.2c respectively, and race in the LMP2 class from Suzuka onwards, due to the fact that they are moving to a under subscribed class.

The rumors of the GT2s team demise have not been exaggerated. The gt2 team has gone on to better things as XTI has moved into LMP2. Apache and Nightrider are the "official" team, running a Lola powered by Toyota in preparation for toyotas 2011 LMP1 return. XTI is also proud to announce an exclusive partnership with petronas who will be the official biofuel provider for XTI's toyota engines. As LMP2 teams can only have 2 drivers, this left Avenger in an odd position. After doing independent testing, Avenger has purchased a customer Acura ARX-01b. Avenger has kept XTI's partnership with walmart, but will be running as a "privateer" even though he is fully supported by XTI.
