GTR3 coming in 2011.. Xbox?

Very exciting news coming out of Simbin! The next installment of the GTR series is set to be released next year, not long after the World GT1 series announced they would have a game... The DLC plan is interesting too, this points towards a multi-platform effort to me This will probably utilise the Lizard engine that RACE Pro uses, but will be far superior in every way graphicaly hopefully.

I got all excited with the thought of GTR on the 360 before and was sadly disappointed. Then Race Pro happened..... sadly.

Race Pro is better than Forza, i'm sorry, it just is.

Race Pro was only a toe in the water for the new Lizard engine too, and if this is multi platform, we will hoepfully get a proper PC quality Simbin game.

Cant wait for this, although will get it for the PC knowing how hard it is to transfer pc race sims onto consoles (Race pro lol)

In my eyes, Race Pro was a test of the at the time, unfinnished Lizard engine. The cockpits however are graphicaly much better looking than Forza's, the drivers hand doesnt even go down to the actual gear stick in forza (if you run with the slightly moved back cockpit camera you notice this) and half of the cockpit isn't even modeled where your not supposed to see, hence why you cant look down in cockpit veiw.

Cant wait for this either! well if it comes out for xbox also because my comp cannot handle GTR. Well maybe my laptop but then i dont have a steering wheel. Hey does a Gameshark xbox steering wheel work on the computer? lol that would be cool

If its a USB wheel, then yes.

The Microsoft Wireless Wheel works too, but you need to buy a special adapter for wrieless controlers.

Hey all any 1 know I have a thrustmaster twin clutch stering wheel with which I use on my pc but does any 1 know how I can get 2 run on 360, has usb, works ok on ps3 but not 360?

Great physics, and the demo includes three cars, two fantasy and the FBMW and one fantasy circuit. The best thing about the LFS demo is that there are simply LOADS of very active online servers available so you can have some really close racing.

And please download this... GPL: the mother of all sims... Its a demo, but you can add tracks to it. This is the sim that iRacing's code is based off.

Not all of the tracks work unless you have the actual CD, but I havve managed to add Monza 10k, Bathurst '67, La Sarthe '67, Riems '67 among many others to the game. Its pretty much the full game for free, plus it looks georgeous with the various user created patches it comes with.

Ugh I went and downloaded GTR 2 for free then when i go to play it says I need a serial number key thats comes with game. Ahh annoyed.. so if anyone has a serial key lying around, you know who to give it to! lol

This pretty much confirms that GTR3 will be the World GT1 Game, wether or not it will also feature WTCC is yet to be seen.

But I still think iOpener technology is better suited to rallying.. Which will feature in the WRC game coming out this year

Could be right but we will have to see. I'm more of the thinking that they will be separate games. Maybe a tie in with LMS?
Simbin seem to have adequately separated the WTCC and GT aspects which is a good thing. GTR Evo was a pointless game IMO and without a GT based licence had no clout in that part of the game.
IF it turns out that they are collaborating on GTR3 I'l be the first to applaud, but I'm not holding my breath.

Simbin still holds the FIA GT liscence, the only thing that stopped them was the fact that Ferrari and Porsche wouldn't let them use their cars.
