Next Forza 3 DLC

new GTR game coming out too. My attentions will be firmly on that. Then CodeM have DIRT 3 and GRID 2

well i was going to say nicky i think codemasters would introduce another F1 title next year but then it occured to me that they can make India a DLC and all of next years cars as well and make the 2011 schedule DLC and then there's the game for next year! the graphics and the physics of the game are really good right now and i dont think they can get much better unless they spend time on the game like polphony did with GT5 so why spend the money on making an all new game for F1 when they can make it all DLC so nicky i think you may be right about Grid 2 comming out soon but Dirt 3 oviously is first on line.

I cant see why polyphony wont do an XBox release. They would DOMINATE the market and make almost every xbox racing game (that isnt free roam like nfs) obsolete

CM have already said that they will be straight into the development of F1 2011 after 2010 is released so that they can make the game they have put out much better. Since it's their first F1 game on a console I expected there to be a few small prblems with it so I'm glad they have built a great foundation with 2010 and will release their better game next year.

Dirt 3 come sout soon then I assume Grid 2 will follow soon after that. All 3 games are made by different teams within CM and they all use the EGO engine to develop their games. Here's hoping that they all share tech and we get snow racing in Touring Cars

I somehow doubt that. How can you say that when multi platform games such as Dirt 2, NFS and F1 2010 sell so well on the PS3 anyway?

@ Louis - as for F1, DLC would be great, but I still think some of the features in F1 could be improved for next year (I don't have the game yet, but this is going from what people have been saying)

As for Forza... The game is very unexciting. The car sounds are mediocre, the handling doesn't have that dynamic natural feel that some other games have. Driving a car in the cockpit view on Forza should be a really exciting thing to do, you should feel like THE BOSS when you drive well, but you don't.

I'm all for a racing game that has not bad physics as long as it is a good game. Codemasters make great racing games. Forza is a great example of a racing game that doesn't really make any effort to immerse you at all.

I think most people are in a Forza slump right now, including me. I really don't have much "incentive" to play through it all or race in single player, and for awhile now, I've really only been touching it when there's a TORA event. Otherwise, its kinda like "What do I do?" However, the car sounds are fine for me considering they've always been loads better than games like GT or NFS. Maybe not the best they can be, but acceptable to me. I couldn't agree more on the cockpit view topic.

Forza 3 is a great game, it's just that it feels like Forza 2 which I played for years without complaints. Forza 3 hasn't been a big enough step and it looks like Forza 4 or Kinect or whatever will be an even smaller step. It's just same old same old with it.

Tbh, since the release of f1 2010, I don't feel like playing Forza :/

We finally get the SLS and LF-A, but we have to purchase a whole new game to get it.

I think it will be a timed exclusive, just like some games have done in the past.

Cant belive, I mean turn 10 u want me to pay extra £ for a game of the year addiion although all VIP's paid out loads for forza 3, no sign of extra track and car packs and we know you are copying GT5!!!!

Wow, I didn't expect that. But to be honest GT5 comes with all the Top Gear stuff built in and the TG test track so I think I'll just get that. Depending if it is released seperately to people who already have the game and depending if we are going to use the cars for anything I may get it. But I'm not excited about it. Plus I see no Cossie...

It's obvious they have copied GT5 essentially but that had to do something just look how quiet forza is because of the f1 game!

Thing is TG have been working with PD for GT5 for a few years now. MS must have dumped a lot of money on TG's lap to get them to put the name in Forza. There's no test track, there no Stig and there's no built in Top Gear TV. The Forza pack has an episode and it has the Stigs name on a car pack. Totally not obvious they are just jumping on the band wagon

pretty done with Turn 10 roll on GT5

i guess they tried to pull the prospected gamers who were going to buy GT5 back into the FM fold, but to buy a whole new game just for 3 cars?! i am not surprised that T10 is just in it for the money of the dupped gamers. im glad i preordered GT5. also thinking about picking up a wheel/pedals & seat setup (need to save up for it all obviously)

its actually 10 cars if you look at the bottom. and theyre actually good cars too

i was just reading a small bit of the offical Ultimate Collection thread on fm.net, and a few of the 10 were originally suppost to be in the 2nd Jalopnik Pack. that alone is cause for concern. but i still will not pay anther $60 just for 10 cars. T10 has failed, or perhaps Micro$oft as a whole failed for creating Turn 10 Studios. T10 doesnt even respond to the community in their own forums, leaving everyone in the dark. hense why my lovely quote in my Sig

The whole pricing thing and releaseing thise cars under the Ultimate Collection will be an MS thing rather than a T10 thing. Although T10 isn't an indepndent studio that is run under MS like how Bungie were. T10 is very much an MS studio. I think thay have just had a bad business plan for FM3 and I hope it will pick up with the soon to be released FM4. But I'm not buying the gane again to get a few new cars that I probably won't use. I have hardly used any of the DLC cars.

I imagine the new DLC will be available as a download the way the VIP stuff was eventually. Makes business sense that once the sales of Ultimate Collection are slowing down, they'd try and make more money off the established user base.

Not very good for the loyal and faithful, though, is it.

Plus, the term Ultimate tends to imply that there is no more to come after this. Not good. Where are the promised Cossies, Turn 10?

thats what im worried about. some of the 10 cars in the UC, were intended to be in the 2nd Jalopnik DLC pack. heck, even BADNED on ForzaCentral had unveiled a pic of the Mistubishi Starion with it taped up to be scanned into the game or what have you. And i was so pissed when they added a VIP D/L option. i paid the extra $20 for the LCE to get those exclusive cars, and T10/M$ go ahead and de-value the LCE copy i have. (my ForzaCentral sig: FM3 Not-So-Limited Collector's Edition Owner (i spent $80 on this?))

seems to me that they love to piss on their core gamers. with F1 2010, MADDEN nfl 11, and GT5 coming out within a month, the race schedule here and within my DMR team is the only thing that has me putting that FM3 disc in my Xbox. if there is a demo in the future prior to FM4's launch, i'll probably keep it to just that and listen to reviews.

I never bought any DLC to begin with anyway... They released sooo much of it so often that it was as if they had had the cars modeled the whole time and just released them every month. That is probably why the Jalopnik pack with the awesome group A touring cars never got released... they never modeled the cars.
