INCREDIBLE.

Race 1 was a bit of a disaster, screwed up my launch and fell back from the start. Managed to get back to 3rd, despite slamming it into the wall coming down the hill, getting my back wheels on the dirt and getting spun round into the opposite wall. Saw Travis do the same thing about a lap or two later. Chucky pressured me for a bit but I built a gap and got away. Switch and Aero were too far away to catch, so took the third place.

Race 2... wow. Got a good start this time, closed on Chucky and Travis ahead by turn 1, then took the lead heading down the hill. Lead for about 3 laps while Aero reeled me in, then heading into turn 1 on lap 4, I got a tap from Aero that knocked us wide. Switch sneaked through to the lead, and I resumed in 2nd. While Switch was just too quick to catch, I kept him in sight while Aero worked back up the pack.

Then, on the last few laps, with Aero close behind, my car started getting very unstable through the hairpin in the third sector of the track. Aero managed to get alongside and we raced side by side all the way to turn 1. I got back ahead of him, only to lose it again heading into the hairpin, this time putting me well wide and seeing a repeat of Aero and I's side by side charge to the line, only this time with us on opposite sides of the track! All the time Travis was waiting right behind for an accident that never came.

Kept the pressure on all the way through the last lap while Travis trailed me closely, but Switch took first, Aero second and I took third. The replay is up on my storefront, and is well worth watching!

today's races were fun. in the first race, lap 1, i caught the inside rumblestrip and bicycled the Abarth for a few feet and managed to right it before hitting a wall, got into my rythum (sp?) and was able to walk away from Chris to the race win.

2nd race, Alot more intense. from the start, i followed Chris through lap 1, and i believe it was on the exit of turn 1 on the 2nd lap, i followed him passed Chucky. did the same with Travis. then on one of the following laps, i got a run on Chris coming out of turn 1, and cleared him going into the downhill turn 2 (i think thats turn 2), went wide, barely nicked the wall, nearly clipped Chris' Fiat, and saw travis get back by me. was able to get back my footing, got back by Travis, and set my sights on Chris and Scot. then i saw them go two wide into turn 1 and saw them make contact, and i nearly squeeked by. Then was able to cruise to an overall win.

Good racing tonight guys, and a great way to celebrate a birthday. Looking forward to my first (and probably only) FLM race tomorrow

damn good nights racing.. i did discover the walls are not a good thing to hit, but i was pushing as hard as i could on a tight track..

I was struggling with the backend of my car, kept wanting to overtake the front on the downhill section after turn 1. discovered afterwards i'd built my tune to 65% front weight, not 59%... which might account for the problem.. getting heat into the tyres was an issue..

Little gutted about qualy after running quickly in hot lap before hand, hoping to run quickly in qualy, fluffed the big corner right at the bottom of the hill, which trashes the uphill run..

Had 2 very competitive races gotta say Rich was damn fine competitor in both races and it was tight in parts.. wall strikes and spins didn't help my lap times.
A fantastic track to race on.. wonder how it would go with 8 touring cars??

can't wait to the next rounds..
