MotoGP 09/10

Has anyone played this game? I'm looking for a general opinion of it. Is it a good sim or is it geared more toward getting new people into MotoGP?

Theres a demo you can download on Live mate. Me and a couple of mates played it on the hardest difficulty and didn't manage to do serious damage to the rider so I wouldn't say it was the most hardcore of sims.

Theres also a really annoying narrator/commentator in the menu's who announces whatever selection you've just made.

The MotoGP games have always done better than SBK but I think like F1 the brand needs a bit of an overhaul in order to reinvigorate the games rather than just being 'another years update'. The THQ games started to suffer from this.
I'm sure if you've not really used many of the previous MotoGP games though it'll be great. I wonder if the new Silverstone is in it?

I played the demo, it is terrible compared to SBK X! But even SBK X isn't that good compared to SBK 08, which I thought was really good.

Graphically I didn't think SBK 08 was all that good.

But sometimes games with ''worse'' graphics look more ''real'' if you know what I mean.

Forza doesn't look ''real'' at all from any view. Everything is a much smoother and nothing has a believable texture or movement in the gaming world. I mean, those horrible new fantasy tracks in the Spanish mountains in Forza... Common! Things like that y'know. TOCA 2 on the PS1 had a realistic look to it, simply from the way the cars moved and the cameras available, looks more real than some racing games coming out recently.

SBK 08 was an example of this.

its believable if you have ever been in a car around one of these northern Scottish lochs!
