Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying a PC racing sim, but not sure which to get.. GTR2 is sick, and I've tried the demo but I'm not sure if any other games are better than it. So I want a really good racing sim, and that possibly has but not necessary modding. Does GTR2 have mods btw? Thanks guys Very Happy

GTR2 does have some cool mods, but not as many as rFactor or Race07/GTR Evo/Race On.

rFactor is probably the most versatile game as its a good platform for dirt, oval, and road course, while at first you cant do much, the number of mods available is crazy

GTR2 is good, but not as big a community or as versatile as its older brother, Race07/GTR Evo/STCC The Game/Race On

NetKar Pro is an up and coming sim you can play for $20, a small number of cool mods, but not many, fun for the price though.

I cant think of many more but if i do ill let you know

Thanks a lot mate! Yea I was looking at GTR Evo and it looks great! I'm looking to buy the pack that brings GTR Evo and Race 07 for $29.99. Also, I cant find GTR 2 on gamestop online or w.e. Ill check gamestop later today. And yea, I saw rFactor has gazilions of mods but is the actual gameplay good like GTR? thanks mate Very Happy

GTR2 simply has hundereds of mods and GTR Evo has a few mods too. Try searching around on places like Blackhole Motorsport to look for downloads and the Race Sim Central Forums for some helpful, errr... help.

But remember... GPL is free Wink

Oh thanks guys, I'll check Gamestop at the mall later. Nicky I tried GPL and it was fun, the only thing is that the screen setting for me were messed up when I would drive the cars screen would not completely cover all of the screen. There would be some parts on the side which had wierd stuff its hard to explain. But yea the physics and graphics were sick for such an old game Very Happy

Oh ok i'll try later mate thanks Very Happy . And to everyone, if I get one of these sims anyone up for racing later today? I'm leaning toward GTR Evo with Race 07, but if I see a physical copy of rFactor I might take that, its because I hate buying stuff from the internet. Alright guys i'll tell you later which one I bought. Cool

at the beginning of the Rolex grand Am race televised on Speed, they showed an iRacing simulated clip of the track inside a Daytona Prototype, and thought it was the real thing! then i was like, "wait. where is the driver's arms?" then i realized it was a sim.
