Remember seeing that years ago. Any time I want to tell someone about the sheer passion of speed and the love of a noisy race car, I dig that clip out. Race Pro almost got this sound right in the game.

Yes that is Assen, and I believe the noise is not from a supercharger or such like, but from a "straight cut" set of gears in the box.

Yeah, remember reading in the youtube comments it was the gears, and possibly something to do with the clutch.
