Racing Music! Empty Racing Music!

Post by CaptainHandbag Mon 5 Jul 2010 - 22:54

Hey guys!
I dont know you guys but when im racing I normally listen to a lot of music. Its actually gotten so bad now that when Im racing well its when I have music playing! I was just wondering do you guys play music when your racing? Also what type do you listen to? I normally have fast-paced electronic, rock or dance on. Its just interesting to see what music because I know one of my friends listens to classical music and it speeds him up! (how odd?!?)

XD

Racing Music! Empty Re: Racing Music!

Post by LMR DarthMario Mon 5 Jul 2010 - 23:49

if i remember to turn it on, i have a Sirius Stiletto 2 hooked up my Sirius Boombox. i have it set for channel 19 "The Boneyard" - (on the sirius website its described as "Hard and Heavy Classic Rock") as of late, this channel apeals to me better than some of the new 'wuss' rock bands they play on Octane (channel 20 which is suppost to be "New Hard Rock")

its unfortunate this Stiletto doesnt have the same system as the other receivers, cuz the stationary receivers can save up to 30 Artists/Songs for notifications when they appear elsewhere (i.e.: say i have Metallica as a saved artist. it would notify me if it one of their songs is coming on, regardless of what channel it is) The Stiletto does not have this feature. Sad

Well, nothing while I'm racing usually because I need to hear the gears and tires like Chillz said. But, if I'm just tuning, browsing S/F or AH or messing around, I'll turn on Pandora from my laptop and go from there. Although, sometimes if I'm playing a GameCube game on my Wii or a PS2 game, I'll sometimes listen to a music channel from Dish Network since the TV i play non-360 games isn't hooked up to cable or anything and I need something to do.

Thats nearly as mad as that thing you told me about the loaves and the fishes.

I can't race with anything on either...I rely too much on the sound of the tyres/revs,

Magic. I do agree but I go along the Nico Rosberg route of psyching yourself up before a race with some good music Wink

I'm always listening to music so when I'm racing I still have it on. I make it low enough so I can hear the engine for changing gear, but I just enjoy racing around so I'm not bothered if I can hear the tires Razz

maybe its just me, but i find having ambient (sp?) background music i like helps me focus more. my Sirius radio isnt very loud, and is set near my PC, so the music isnt much of a distraction. and  to Duality! Very Happy i have every Slipknot album (missing Iowa)
