Re: TCC Meeting 5 Discussion Thread – IBERIAN (Full Circuit)
Also every 1 please be carefull tonight after last tcc round it was clear that driving standards did some what drop off so -
It has come to my attention over the past few race meetings that driving standards are causing unnecessary steward enquiries.
Respect the other racers: You may think you are the nuts and have the measure of predictable AI but when it comes to online racing you have to remember that the other cars are controlled by humans that have different styles to you. Take your time when over taking is a must. Do not risk ruining your race and another opponent by being impatient. Chances are you will get your chance at somepoint and if you don’t then you got beat by a better man on that race. Gaining good exit speed is always worth looking at. If you cannot make the move then back off a little. If your ducking up the inside and are just about to block a natural racing line then back off a little. I know you want to be committed but there comes a point where it is not wise to do so.
The same goes for cornering. Remember that it is your job to get past the opponent in front not for him to let you through. If you can’t do it cleanly and confidently then do not do it. Remember that coming into a corner the person ahead of you may have different ideas to braking etc so you need to compensate for this by perhaps braking a little earlier than you normally would. Doesn’t mean you will lose that much time, it just means you have possibly avoided an accident that wouldn’t do either of you any good. Also, remember that your tyres need time to warm up. Trying to attempt a move that you would make in the middle of the race may not work here if tyres are cold and not up to temperature.
Also, keep looking around if you have a little moment. Some of the best encounters I have seen and one I was in last night have involved all the things that have been mentioned above plus communication and the players looking at where each other was at. We were racing for nearly a lap two abreast with two rows and not one crashed because of silly moves and over eagerness. This race succeeded because the racers were telling each other where they were, looking through mirrors and also out of the side of their cars. When it happens like that it is the best experience in this game. Just remember to communicate a little of the position of your car. If you are overtaking on the right, tell them this as it will make it easier for them not to cut across the racing line into a bend and take you both out.

Re: TCC Meeting 5 Discussion Thread – IBERIAN (Full Circuit)
My first batch of laps done... Fastest so far is a 54.347, Sunset build with Max downforce. I'll try some other builds now and see what happens.
Edit: ok now I'm confused, I went with a handling build and in 4 laps ran a 54.346.
What do i run...

Re: TCC Meeting 5 Discussion Thread – IBERIAN (Full Circuit)
Some great racing from B/B/A Lobby congrats guys, well done to TheFLC for winning race 1, Me for winning race 2 and streetfighter80 on winning race 3
Re: TCC Meeting 5 Discussion Thread – IBERIAN (Full Circuit)
Sorry for the mess that was lobby C guys, at least we got the racing going eventually.
Having managed to get away from work early at 8 (I was supposed to finish at 8.30), I got out the shop by 5 past and started three miles of the ten miles towards home - the first two miles being urban 30mph limit - only to find the road closed. I had to go back into town, then take a 20 mile round trip to get home through another town. Got home by 8.30, reversed my other car in the drive (going out tomorrow early), and then got my work clothes in the washing machine and on the xbox for about 8.35.
That was my race 1, lol.
With a number of people coming online and wanting to race, the guys who had been on since 8 split their lobbies into three to let the non-qualifiers, for which us late-arrivals are very grateful. Sadly my girlfriend decided she was getting an early night (due to that early start), and the witch hates any noise. So I had to go off-mike.
Luckily Matt came online, and started up lobby C for us. I was going to host it and let him do the talking, due to his dodgy connection, but he hosted the lobby and race two got underway. It was a very good race, which saw me take the lobby win. I had a bit of contact with Balkan Wulf about lap 5 which saw him run wide on the run off after the big hill, so I tried to keep my line and let him back through but rejoining we collided again and he went off the track. Sorry mate.
Sadly I forgot to get the replay for this race. Can anyone send me it please?
The end of race three saw Matt's dodgy connection live up to expectation and dump him offline. While I took over hosting, I had to relay instructions through RichXM655, to whom I am grateful.
After a delay to find out what was happening with the lobby order, we started race 3 and I took the lead from Rich by the end of lap one before running wide at turn one and letting him through. Eventually I got back past him and built a gap, but soon I saw a luminous Alfa getting very close and eroding my lead. Evothreesixty was on my back by lap 9, and on lap ten coming out the last hairpin we made contact. He let me back through, and then we sprinted the last lap. The hairpin saw me drift wide and he got past me before the line, well done on that win mate.
Due to the number of latecomers, the decision was made to have lobby C remain lobby C and be exempt from the random lobby order. So lobby C remained lobby C for the duration of tonight's events, sorry this wasn't properly explained to you guys, I wasn't fully aware of that myself.
