i personally feel as though the coverage of the TORA events and championships and races is not focused on heavily enough. There are no discussions about the actual racing, overtaking maneuvers, rivalries, strategies etc etc etc. Just a quick look at the tables I personally feel does not do your own home grown stuff enough credit and in the main is the reason I want to listen to these podcasts. Real world motorsport coverage is everywhere.

Missing a promotional op here chaps. These home grown races / events / champs are exciting and close in there own right.

I believe we go into these podcasts wanting to do the exact things you mention, its just when were actually recording we forget, I was certainly expecting to be lambasted about my last lap retirement at suzuka.

I will apologise for my lack of effort on this matter and will try my best to do so next time.

i.e.

8:00 - 8:05 Intro
8:05 - 8:15 News
8:15 - 8:25 Race 1
8:25 - 8:35 Race 2
8:35 - 8:45 Race 3
8:45 - 8:55 Up and coming races or events.
8:55 - 9:10 Real Motorsport
9:10 - 9:30 Interviews/reveiws whatever.

Gives an hour and a half podcast but if you only want to know about tora then just under an hour on this format.

Just an idea and I will go back into my hole now....

I feel the same about the lack of TORA races on the podcasts. I can understand from previous experiences of doing these podcasts are not easy to record at all.
But just listening to the last couple of shows, it sounds like they just wanted to get it out the way and talk mostly about real world motorsport. Thats how I see it anyway; I'm usually wrong about these things.
I think Jamie's rough plan of the podcast seems like a good idea. One thing also that might help is if you guys took a look at the results from each round and point out certain results that you want to mention. Write them down on a notebook or something. And then read out the top five or ten in the results of the race or championship tables and just generally give out your views on how the race meeting went.

Seeing as it's a TORA podcast, it would be really cool to hear more about TORA events. I'm not criticising or anything; just trying to help and give feedback.

The danger we have is that we end up reciting results which is what the site is for.
It is also very hard to accurately discuss races when we can very rarely get participants to actualy take the time to talk to us about their races.
Yes it is a TORA podcast, yes we do like to talk about TORA races, but unless we were in them (and we don't like to toot our own horns!) w can' very well guess what happened.
If we got things wrong you gys would be the first to jump on our backs about that too.
We do have a format that we try to follow, but if we find ourselves stuck on a couple of other features its because we feel they are deserving of our attention.
Oh and thanks for all the kind comments about the interview we did. Nice to know the effort we go to to get real racers involved wth our little community get the attention they deserve...

replays are nearly always available to watch the quali and races. You dont actually have to be there.

I think that says alot about where the direction may have taken a wrong turn for your audience. How about splitting the podcast/s into TORA and Real world. TBH i'd only be listening the the TORA bits anyway. Personal opinion only chaps ;O)
