Rules & Regulations
Qualy
-Cars from the same class will be group together where possible in an attempt to give drivers as many clean laps as possible.
-Drivers will have a 5 second per car roll off delay.
- Qualy will be 18 minutes long(15 minutes of racing then 3 to collect results) with the exception of LeMans and Road Atlanta where qualy will happen through out the week leading up to these events.
Race
-Lobbies will be mixed with 4 cars from each class. (ex. lobby one = 4 P1 cars and 4 P2 Cars, lobby two =4 P2 Cars and 4 GT2 Cars and lobby three will be 4 P1 Cars and 4 GT2 Cars)
-Rolling starts for easier allocation of total finishing time (if every lobby can win overall)
Cars will stay at 100mph on the parade lap and depending on the track 1-3 corners before the start line cars will reduce speed to 60mph and line up side by side in grid order, once you pass the pit entrance the pole sitter can shout go at any time before the start finish line, once go is issued there can be no overtaking until the start/finish line.
(may be difficult to understand this bit but i have talked to some of you about this and those few know what i mean, because we all know how much i fail at explaining things.)
-there will be timing groups that will include 3 lobbies (that equals out to 8 cars from each class) that will equal out to the cars not in the same lobby but in the same class to be on par with their rivals (meaning they're scored as being in the same lobby while not actually in the same lobby)
as an incentive to want to be higher in the timing groups, timing group 2 will have 4 seconds added to total race time, timing group 3 will have 8 seconds added, timing group 4 will have 12 seconds added etc. (the time added simulates a grid roll off)
-The above will be adjusted to suit how ever many cars from each class are entered for events.
-With mixed lobbies comes greater risk of accidents, it is imperative that the faster cars take the needed steps to ensure a clean pass, slower cars you are to race your line, and it is up to the faster cars to find a way around, DON'T try to help them by moving over, because you may just be moving over into their path.

Changes of Car
-This option is only available in between each sub series, if teams choose to do so. If teams wish to change car they must notify AudiSport Louis their intentions to change, upon anouncing their intentions the number of cars the team has possesion of will be added to the availability roster (example- if the team had 2 Peugeot's and there was only 1 Peugeot left to be used the number will be changed to 3 Peugeot's left for availability.) teams will not have to give up their cars obviously.
-Should a team wish to change car while a continental series is going on they will surrender all points earned for that particular season up to that point.
example: 3 out of 7 races in the European season have been completed and a team wants to switch car the points they earned for the first 3 races will be taken away and be scored as no points earned races.

note: PI's are general we will allow 1-2 PI difference for different wheels.
Points
same for all classes and are as follows
1st- 25
2nd- 18
3rd- 15
4th- 12
5th- 10
6th- 8
7th- 6
8th- 4
9th- 2
10th- 1
Points are set up for in case teams switch class through out the year, they still have a chance of winning the overall title given at the end of the year.
Engine swaps are BANNED, cars must use engine that was origionally in car (meaning stock), upgrades to that engine are allowed to meet the PI/ restrictor limits.
Success Balast- Success balast will be applied to the top 3 finishers in each category. An additional 5% power handicap will be applied for each podium finish on top of base penalties up to 15%. If you miss a race or finish outside the top 3 you will be allowed to remove 5% of your penalty until you are back to your base penalty.
Re: Rules & Regulations
Note: after extensive testing, there will be a mandatory pit stop for all competitors for each race, the pit window will not be open until lap 2 of the race and will close 1 lap before the end of the race, in other words the first and last lap of the race you cannot make your pitstop for the race.

Re: Rules & Regulations
yes that is the only change, the only mass change that will effect everyone is at LeMans where a lot of handy caps may be lifted on cars and some put on others FOR THAT RACE ONLY! and all competitors will be notified of those changes well in advance for teams and drivers to test their cars and set them up.

Re: Rules & Regulations
the full 24 hr race will be held alongside the real thing, like our 12hr Sebring race ran along the same time that was ran. qually will most likely be this weekend maybe.
the ISCC series has a 2.4hr race as the final race for the European-leg (which i believe lands on the 4th of july weekend)

Re: Rules & Regulations
Ok cool, I am signed up with a team mate in the ISCC. We are very much looking forward to the 24 hour race. We should probably start practicing soon.

Actually, from what I've heard, OUR 24 hour will probably be the weekend after Le Mans because a lot of people will either be watching the race or attending it.

Re: Rules & Regulations
Didn't somebody say that it likely wasn't going to be run along side the real race because too many people would rather watch that?
edit: beat me to it.

Re: Rules & Regulations
The first GT race is the same weekend as the actual Le Mans too so that would be hectic for some people.

Re: Rules & Regulations
LeMans ends at 3PM sunday GT"s are at 8PM sunday. Unless you are attending La Sarthe for the actual race, you should be able to make it in time.
