Re: Timing Board
As it stands right now I won't be at this race. No Internet and don't even know what is going on with work. I went in and got sent home, there isn't power and trees are literally everywhere. At least it's over
Re: Timing Board
Grimm do you mind going on the FM3 forums and letting the people in the comp and the storm threads know I don't have Internet so I cannot accept anything? I can't comment there on my phone.
Is general alright? Another wave hit us around 11pm when I commented about bodies flying. The things I heard on the police scanner last night made me sick. Finding people tangled in power lines, etc. Glad I'm safe

Re: Timing Board
I hit a 27.2 in P1 with -10% power and a 26.7 with -5% power (Audi R15)

i had to drive down to campus to use the wifi here.
i hope by sunday they can get power and internet restored, so i can race.

Re: Timing Board
I have power and cable back, stunning to see the damage today. Just hurts inside and you can't do anything. I don't cry very often but damn....
An F4 and F5 missed us by less than 10 miles, absolutely horrific. My cousin jumped out of his moving truck and dove into a Waffle House. They found his truck over a mile away.
A storm developed around 8-9pm out of no where without warning and wiped out everything. It was supposed to be over and it happened. There is absolutely nothing left of Ringgold, GA.
About a mile from work.
My friends neighborhood (pulled it off internet)
Her neighborhood part 2 (used to be over 100 houses in it. there are now 3. She took this)

Re: Timing Board
Holy crap. I'm from Missouri originally but I'm in California for school and people here have no concept of what a thunderstorm is. The biggest earthquake I've experienced out here (Bay Area) has been a 5.6 and I was on the 4th floor of my dorm at the time. It shook the building less that some thunderstorms have shook my house at home, and that earthquake was considered a massive event by my CA native roommates.
The most its done here in San Jose in the past 4 years has been a couple flashes of lightning and I knew people who immediately sought shelter when they saw them. I need to show them these pictures so that they will understand just how bad storms can get.
I hope you and your friends/family are all alright and are able to rebuild everything that was lost.
Also, where in TN do you live? I have an aunt and uncle that live in Nashville, but I haven't heard anything from my parents about them getting hit by these storms.

Re: Timing Board
Nashville was okay it skated east of them. Thank god after the flooding they had last year. I live in Chattanooga, right on the Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia border.
Re: Timing Board
i suprised myself tonight in practice with justOZ.
w/o tweeking my tune from Mugello which i missed, i managed a 1:45.046 (i posted a 1:45.4 the other day). i have another build/tune that has a tiny bit more power and less weight, that seems to corner better, so im going to try and combine the two tunes 2morrow and see what the net results are. but im definitely feeling better about the Audi after tonight.

Re: Timing Board
I would not class myself as a podium driver and the times you guys post here and in the leaderboards are way above my talent, but after teaming up in the Mushroom Kingdom Plumbers with Rollin inAn STi, and him giving me a tune/setup, i have improved my lap times by 2 to 3 seconds.
This i hope will bring me into the Middle of the field for GT2 cars. Hopefully drivers around my talent will be appearing more as i will be able to challenge them more and give them a good race like Mugello last week.
As i have stated, at the mo the only way i am racking up points is being consistant in attending the races. there are loads of drivers registered for this championship and its a shame that we only get about a 1/3 of them on each race event. would be really nice to have more drivers around my talent to race against.
Mugello was amazing last week racing with Jenson09, i think we exchanged places 8 times throughout that race, and having another 1 or 2 cars in the middle of that would be really good. Hopefully he will be racing in Silverstone and we can have another repeat of last weeks race.
My best time at the mo is 1:47:71*, but i can see where im loosing time and will try to get that time back so await better times.

Re: Timing Board
Working on my Catalunya setup between F1 sessions tonight and I could use some pointers. The best I can manage in my Lola is 1:34.037. I can't seem to find any more time in the car. Granted a lot of this is down to my lack of driving ability, but when I run a clean lap hitting all the apexes and stuff, I'm still slow. The problem is that while I more or less know what all of the tuning options do, I don't know where to go with the setup to make it faster. I can make it more understeer-y or more oversteer-y and still run at the same pace.
I tried to run a balanced setup at the Nurburgring, which didn't work that great, so at Mugello I basically made the rear of the car as loose as possible to see if running that extreme would make any difference. It didn't, so I went back to a balanced setup for Silverstone, which I didn't get to race, but would have been slow anyway. So where should I go from here?

Re: Timing Board
Anyone else besides PDilly with GT2 times for Catalunya? I tweeked my audi tune slightly from silverstone, and I think I can finally be a bit more consistent than I normally am.
