That one was from ebay , its the only time ive seen the #2 car but the #1 car is available from most online stores.

New laptop arrived!

It's almost half the thickness of my old one, and two thirds the weight. nvidia GeForce 640M, 4gb of ram, 500gb hard drive.

Pretty nifty little thing. Under an inch thick, with a 15.6 inch screen and an aluminium lid. Great keyboard too. I've really made a great choice!

Although, as much as I love how Windows 8 looks, it's generally s**t.

Laptop sounds nice. As for Windows 8, once you get the hang of it you won't go back. You just need to know what you're doing with the apps and how they work. Things like pinning shortcuts within the app to your new start screen, thus showing you the information you want.

Does anyone have any idea what this is, how to use it, where I can find film, and how much it's worth?

I know it's a Polaroid 1000 Land Camera which takes SX-70 film, because that's what's written on it. But I don't know what Oosthoek means, and I can't find it anywhere. It's very neatly stuck with vinyl directly onto the case, which makes me think it was sold that way...

I bought it from the flea market in Amsterdam this week for €10

It means Eastern Corner in Dutch. Never seen a 1000 with it on. Could be the previous owner's surname and they personalised it??

Yep, it is indeed pretty hipster I thought €10 was a bargain so I grabbed it while I could... I looked on eBay and decent boxed/special edition ones are worth about £40, so I reckon mine would be worth about £10 anyway (assuming it works) unless Oosthoek does actually mean something

Just an update on the Polaroid thing... I opened the thing's womb and took out the old film cassette (I didn't realise it already had one).

Upon further investigation and research I found that there was actually one exposure left in the cassette, but the camera wouldn't work because the batteries are stored in the cassette itself and since it was an original cassette (bare in mind I just ripped the thing into pieces ) the battery was flat.

I'm going to order some exposures from The Impossible Project, a website that sells new cassettes.
