MLR: Major League Racing

Before I post this to the community suggestion box I would like to see how much approval it gets from the members of TORA, especially those interested in an American-Style League season and playoff format. Its an Idea I originally had on Project Gotham 4:

Match Format:

2 Teams 4 Drivers Each per race
The teams either get to choose the type of car used in each race, or better still , chose a car that all teams will use for the season and have team colours with logos and numbers much like NFL/MLB/NHL/NBA teams.

Host Team are RED (in lobby) on either their chosen track before league started, or an alotted track chosen by championship organisers
Visitors are YELLOW
Match consists of two races

Pre-Race 1:
Host Team chooses which direction (Clockwise or Anti-Clockwise) to kick off proceedings, or give the choice to the visiting team.

Race 1:
5 Laps on Host's Track in Direction chosen by Hosts or Visitors.
10-7-5-4-3-2-1-0 Points system totalled up in terms of team.
(I believe this is the points system used in all the Forza Lobbies anyway)

ie
Hosts (RED) :10+4+2+0= 16
Visitors (YELLOW):7+5+3+1= 16

Pre-Race 2:
Direction of race alternate for race 2 (ie: if anti-clockwise in race 1 then race 2 will be clockwise)

Race 2:
Same format as race 1
points from race 1 and race 2 totalled to give final score

ie: Race 1 Race 2 Total
Hosts (RED): 16 14 = 30
Visitors (YELLOW): 16 18 = 34

Visitors Win.

If there Is interest in this idea then I will post a suggestion for a league format.

i shall give you 1 possible flaw, even though i like the concept.

devils advocate here, team plow vs team vvv - pretty even match there
team team plow vs 4 privateers who have teamed up.......white wash, the only reason i have used plow here as an e.g because from what i have seen they are 1 of the best teams on the site, no offense to anybody. so unless a team of 4 is randomly drawn then whitewashs could happen reguarly i know it happens in sports alot trust me i am a newcastle vipers fan and anyone who can lose by 14 goals after leading leg 1 gets my point

I'd have to explain the team format. Each team would have a "home" track, from one of the 10 venues that has a circuit which can be run in both directions.

Each team would have a captain/coach/owner who would have to pick his roster/squad at the start of the "season" from american style draft, so essentially if a PLOW member ends up being one of these captain/coach/owners he would probably not be able to end up with an entire PLOW lineup for the rounds.

that sounds rather cool, as i say i wasnt picking on plow or vvv just we all know there some of the best drivers on the site that was all
