GT TUNES Empty GT TUNES

Post by TG Wormburner Sun 8 May 2011 - 23:32

You can pick up the stock tunes I used to test on the SummerGT1 storefront.

Search SummerGT1 on the SF and a few will show up. The rest of them are in the SF but don't have anything typed to find in a search so make sure you visit the actual storefront. They are all free.

I cannot gift some of these to people being that they are tunes from others that I have unlocked or things I have sold in the past on my own storefront that others have had to pay for. The others I'd just assume not gift out to anyone that doesn't already have them. It will snowball into can you gift this or that on a daily basis to can you do it for this track or that one. It wouldn't be fair to gift to some and not others so I'll just not do it from here on out. Way too much trouble and there are a few people I'd rather not gift things to anyhow. I've had too much appear on storefronts before and someone make a link and I look like the bad guy because someone gave me a similar car.

Just please search "SummerGT1".

Thanks guys,
VVV worm

Not all the tunes are on that storefront though. The two specific ones I wanted are not there.

The Jag tune is updated further. It may compete a little better now. I still cannot find the Alfa's niche but I know it's there (not that I've tried really hard, lots going on ATM). I remember racing them in the RWD lobbies and they were stupidly fast.

I will offer my services too, nit that many of you know who I am, but I have been involved with tuning in forza since early in fm2, and have supplied tunes for other series I have competed in...I supplied at least 75% of the guys from the bismark series' tunes at one point or another...if you want to know if they're any good just ask VVV Grimm...while I don't think he ever received any of them, he did have to race against them lol...

So the way I usually do this, is to have you gift me the car with the parts set up you want on it, send me a message of what you are having problems with, and I'll do mu best to sort it out without changing parts, then I'll gift it back...

So yeah, there it is in a nutshell my
GT is PpR Bodyrollin give me a shout if you need anything.

Post by Guest Sun 29 May 2011 - 11:08

written a basic FM3 suspension calc I've been using for a little while now. So for those that want to try it I've put it in a website.

Bear in mind it only displays the last entry so it's pot luck if yours displays long enough if others are using it at the same time!! I can't be bothered right now to make it record and display historically or enable a method to select or search results. If someone else has a formula to do this by all means I'll add it.

http://fm3springs.weebly.com/

p.s: You need to refresh the page to get the results to load after entering and submitting the data.

Post by Guest Mon 30 May 2011 - 10:26

A little extra info. The suspension calculation uses a calculation that RSI Rotax Stig put in a tuning guide I once read he wrote.

The equation goes something like this:

Springs:
(‘Car weight’ + ‘down-force at front/rear’) / 100 *‘weight % at front/rear’ / ‘ride height at front/rear’ * ‘g-force’
/ = divide
* = multiply
(‘G-force’ is found by either attempting to install a new part or tune; it’s usually something like 1.211)
An example: (2240 + 100) / 100 * 55 / 4.5 * 1.211 = 346.34600(346.5)

All the work is done for you after you enter the requested data. Then submit and refresh the webpage I knocked up using google docs in the background to do the calcs:

http://fm3springs.weebly.com/

The results are on the soft side. They work very well until you get to the R class cars, so for GT's it should be fine. I usually adjust springs in 50lbs increments until I'm happy with them. The main issues to look out for as GT races are 30 mins long is suspension damage. So try some longer runs to see if damage occurs and adjust.

cheers.
