Williams to go Back to its Roots!
With the Summer GT Championship rapidly approaching, Williams Motorsport have taken the decision to return back their roots and compete in the forthcoming series in the same car where it all began.
Back in 2008 in what was then the BGT, the Williams team made its debut in a Lamborghini Gallardo. It was to be the first race for both the team and its lead driver Crisis Nine which would develop in a full blown addiction for the next three years.
The following 5 seasons saw the team ally itself with British car maker Lotus with a brief foray in a Porsche for one season. This year with a change to the car that lauched their GT career the team is hopeful of regaining some of its former glory of gracing A lobby and being regular B lobby competitor.
After a disappointing Winter GT showing in what was felt to be a fairly underpowered Lotus Exige, the Gallardo is a whole different beast and has power in buckets.
It will mean a drastic change in driving style for Crisis Nine, however the last time he raced in a car other than the Lotus was his most successful season to date finishing the season in 8th place overall.
A new paint has been completed which closely mimics the paint used by the Williams at&t F1 team which will be launched very soon.

Wasn't here for the original team, but all this nostalgia stuff is making me pumped for the season!! Best of luck man!
still have some of the old rbs banking paints from forza 2 crisis hope the team does well
Yeah man I have all the old RBS paints too. I work for RBS so I was gutted when we had to cut our sponsorship coz its such an easy logo to make in Forza.
